“It’s all about what God intended marriage to be in the bible” Marriage in the bible includes multiple wives (Gen. 16:3), and yet we outlaw that. Marriage in the bible also advocated arranged marriages (Gen. 24:4). Plus, if you got married, the husband was supposed to take a year off from work or service (Deu. 24:5). So there are a lot of things God intended that we do not follow anymore. Why is gay marriage such a sticking point?

Great review – glad that you mentioned the score, as it’s one of my favourites of recent years. I think Alan Silvestri did an amazing job with the music and it’s one of the things which might get overlooked amidst the non-stop cavalcade of awesome which is the rest of the film.

Also – I would greatly enjoy a Black Widow/Hawkeye/S.H.I.E.L.D spin-off movie with lots of counter-terrorist, Black Ops bad-assery, please, Marvel. Make it happen!

Furthermore, using your argument that marriage between a man and a woman is what God intended, then making laws prohibiting gay marriage clearly contradicts our separation of Church and State.

Bone is right. Kev, you’re talking about having to stretch new strings, which you have to do regardless of whether you clip the ends or not…..but I agree, people should clip their strings because it looks fucking stupid. Wang Chung.
