Geez, scenes from the new “Rambo” movie are already getting leaked to youtube even before the DVD comes out on May 27th.
This scene is the actual final action sequence from the new “Rambo” 2008 film. This is the scene where Rambo finally comes back at the Burmese army with a vengeance. Enjoy this edge of your seat scene.
In my opinion, this is the greatest action movie sequence ever made in any action movie ever.
This scene may have some major SPOILERS, so if you haven’t seen the movie yet, DO NOT click and watch, just wait for the DVD to come out to experience the fun.
Sylvester Stallone finally got the chance to speak out his thoughts on the cyclone disaster that hit the country of Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) which killed over 20,000 people and death toll is still rising. While promoting his new movie “Rambo” in Tokyo, Japan as you read this, Sly says that it’s the Myanmar junta and the goverment’s fault for all those deaths. Since before the cyclone hit, Myanmar is a country known for the governement and the Burmese armies being abusive and treating Myanmar civilians like slaves, it’s been like that for years in Myanmar and still is to this day.
Sly believes the reason for the deaths is just Myanmar government’s way of suffering the civilians some more by being unprepared for the cyclone.
More on it here:
I actually agree with Sly. Myanmar is a strict country. If the Myanmar government actually cared for their people, they would allow them to prepare to save lives from the cyclone and all those people would have been alive now. It’s obvious the Myanmar government doesn’t care for their own people. Myanmar goverment are very evil, hateful and spiteful people.
It’s a good thing Sly and the cast and crew of “Rambo” left filming before the cyclone hit, Sly and everyone else would have been dead too as you all know, “Rambo” was filmed directly on the borders between Myanmar and Thailand.
Edit to add: Here’s a video of it where Sly says all that from the mouth himself…
At first Sylvester Stallone was not amused about a movie titled “Son Of Rambow” a film which is about two young children filming a movie based on “Rambo: First Blood”. This film is totally paying homage to Stallone’s real “Rambo”. At first Stallone thought this was a joke-a-minute comedy, I think he’s reffering to slapstick parodies making fun of Rambo. To his surprise, it wasn’t that. “Son Of Rambow” is actually a mix of comedy and drama. A serious film. When Sly finally decided to check the movie out, he absolutely loved it. Stallone himself e-mailed the film makers commending them a job well done.
From the L.A. Times:
Here is the “Son of Rambow” trailer for those interested. I’ll wait for DVD release on this one though.
For one time and for one day only, you’ll soon get to experience the first Rambo film “Rambo: First Blood” back on the big screen. The film will hit selected theaters on May 15th @ 7:30 p.m. What’s even better, that the film will show the alternate ending where Rambo dies. After the film is over they will show a never before seen interview with Sylvester Stallone where he discusses “First Blood”, the new “Rambo” 2008 film, and the rest of the Rambo films. This event is hosted by Fathom company.

Not sure if this will hit the Capital District or not but if it does I will post it.
The new Rambo (2008) DVD/Blue Ray cover is released, and there it is above. How cool is that? Isn’t that a sweet cover! I think it’s badass! Rambo will be getting a DVD and BluRay release on exactly May 27th. So mark your calendars and pick up a copy that day!
The DVD extras will feature audio commentary with Sylvester Stallone, deleted scenes, six behind the scenes featurettes, and a digital copy for the film for your Itunes and Windows Media players.
The BluRay version will include the same extras, but it will also have a gallery of trailers from the 3 previous Rambo films, and a bonus view audio picture-in picture commentary with Sly Stallone.
For those who don’t want the 2 disc SE or the BluRay, there is also a single disc edition with no extras, just the movie itself.
More info here:
I’m definitely buying the BluRay baby!
I’m really curious to see what the picture is going to be like in the Blu Ray edition.
I hope Sly does an “Extended” version of Rambo on DVD down the road to make the movie longer. I know he shot a lot more than 90 minutes of the film.
Sylvester Stallone has announced he is planning a sequel to “Rhinestone”. He had already started writing the script but has not yet announced the title. Stallone will reprise his role as Nick Martinelli and Dolly Parton has confirmed to reprise her role as Jake. “Rhinestone” was about a legendary country star who thinks she can turn anyone into a country star, she meets up with a taxi driver who she tries to turn him into a country singer like her.
The sequel to “Rhinestone” will be different. The story to “Rhinestone 2” will be about where Stallone’s character Nick Martinelli actually already a country star, but Dolly’s character Jake is kidnapped by a different country rock band who are drunks and a bunch of bullies. Martinelli must save Jake from the badguys, this is not a western film, this is an all out action flick where cowboys go at it kicking each others asses. Stallone says he will do more singing in this film, he will also write and direct.
“I was embarrassed when I saw myself singing in the first film, so I went to my brother Frank who is also a musician teach me to sing,” Stallone said. “Rhinestone 2 will be better than the first, this will help Dolly with the promotion of her new album.”

While the news of Sly Stallone filming “Rambo 5” in Bulgaria is just a rumour at this point what I can confirm is that Stallone just signed another “Rambo” sequel with Nu Image/Millenium. Remember, Sly was offered a 2 action film deal with Nu Image/Millenium and Sly went for it. Look like “Rambo 5” is the first film he picked for one of those deals.

Expect this news to soon be all over the Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Dark Horizons, Aint It Cool, etc.
“Rambo 5” may as well be his next movie, I guess.
Sly admitted that he has a few action movies left in him before he gets any older so he may have well get them done before he ends up in a nursing home or something.
I think there should be 6 Rambo films to catch up with the 6 Rocky’s.
