UFC 97- Redemption review…

UFC 97 was an ok ppv last night, it could have been better if there were more knockouts and more brawling. It would have been better if there were less split decisions ’cause there were a lot of ’em.

Chuck Lidell look like he’s done with UFC for good, he maybe forced to leave the company since he can’t win any matches. His match with Shogun was pretty good though, I think that was my favorite match of the night.

I also liked Steve Cantwell vs. Luis Arthur Cane. Another good match was Cheick Kongo vs. Antoni Hardonk.

Most every match were real good except for the last one Anderson Silva vs. Thales Leites. That match was a real sleeper indeed. There was no fighting at all in that match. Just the two guys jumping and running around the Octagon like a couple of monkeys. I think Anderson was the one that wanted to fight real badily, he badily wanted to kick Leites ass, but Leites is a fuckin’ coward. Leites was a pussy, you can tell he was real scared of Anderson, since Anderson was much bigger than him. Leites wouldn’t let Anderson touch him at all throughout the five rounds. Idiot!!!! I hope Dana White does the smart thing by firing that Leites coward.

It wasn’t a bad ppv overall. Could have been better though.

I’m thinking supporting UFC instead of WWE but haven’t really made my decision. I’m starting to like UFC a lot now. UFC is real fighting, they don’t get into storylines and feuds, it’s unpredictable, and you’ll never know what happens.

If New York State legalizes the UFC to put on shows over here, I’d definitely go to all of them! For sure.

  1. no. Silva was a coward. Leites was on the floor, but he wouldn’t pursue his opponent on the floor. He was afraid of Leites’ ground game, and Leites afraid of Silva’s stand up.

Overall, great fights (including prelims), but main event left a sour taste in the mouth’s of many people who travelled from across Canada.
