Brock believes that CRUMBS turned it’s back on local musicians after they ditched CRUMBS radio…

The CRUMBS radio, has always been a huge part of CRUMBS for years. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, the CRUMBS website which is dedicated to local musicians, would have an embedded radio player for the site. Local musicians of all kinds would submit songs to the site owner to upload their music to that player. The songs would get voted on by the public, and it would compile  a chart, on which song that got the most positive feedback, like a Billboard chart kind of thing. I forgot how Andy, the previous owner, did the Crumbs radio thing, but the new owners did a little differently. The Crumbs radio thing is what keeps me on Crumbs, listening to music from other local musicians and bands. I think I got my own music played on the Crumbs radio before, when Andy used to run the site.

I wish they would get the Crumbs radio back. I believe they got rid of it ’cause that’s when WEXT 97.7 started working for them so they can air their “Crumbs Cafe” interviews for FM radio, so WEXT can get more listeners. WEXT is a local music radio station which I’m also not that crazy about.

I don’t think Guzzo, the new owner would be offended at my feedback, I think he would appreciate it, ’cause I believe he likes hearing feedback about CRUMBS positive or negative ’cause they like to find ways to make the site better for people. I hope, he’s not offended, he shouldn’t be. I’m sure, he’s man enough to take it.

I’m just disappointed that they got rid of CRUMBS radio ’cause that was a good opportunity for random musicians of all kinds to get their music heard, even my own music. CRUMBS radio was the whole point of the site, has been for years, and they just got rid of it like it was nothing since WEXT took over. Their online radio thing was special. Here’s an idea to improve CRUMBS, ditch WEXT and bring back CRUMBS Radio. Of course, they won’t do that, whatever makes them the money.

  1. If you don’t want to be offensive then don’t be offensive in the title of your blog article.

    1. It’s not offensive. When they want to get rid of something that’s been a part of CRUMBS history for years, then that’s what you did. I’m sure other local musicians are disappointed that it’s no longer there. The Crumbs radio thing was a big deal there.

    2. If you’re going to continue to be a douche, potatoes, then get off my site, last warning.

      1. My blog rants about the Crumbs website, meant no disrespect, ’cause I support the new owners, I’m just giving them honest feedback hoping for a better site. Like I said in the other post, the more you guys come to talk shit, the more it’s proving my point that we have a negative scene. Just play it cool.

  2. Even without CRUMBS radio, CRUMBS is still a great thing! Mike and Andy do an excellent job supporting local musicians. All of us musicians owe them a big debt of gratitude!!

    1. I agree. Andy doesn’t run the site anymore. He gave it up years ago and now Guzzo took over. I’m just asking them to bring the CRUMBS radio back. I do love their Crumbs Cafe radio interviews though, those are awesome, I enjoy listening to those.

They can run their site however they want to, yes. I have nothing personal against the bloggers over there. Just want them to stop being all over Lana Del Rey and don’t see the reason why they need Ralph there, just to get more views. Nothing against, Ralph, it’s just that the guy is everywhere, and seems like he wants more attention for himself. Know what I mean? These few little things is what bothers me about CRUMBS, but other than that, Guzzo is still a cool dude.

    1. He’s alright and pretty cool. I’ve repeatedly said I have nothing personal against him and no disrespect ’cause he stood up for me over there when I was being attacked by anonymous idiots.

If there was a blogger at the site who I don’t like, that would be Ralph. He’s a big douche, with a Capital D. An egomaniac, and pretentious prick. I’m not the one to attack other people in the scene, but the way he publicly treated me in the past, is well deserved.

      1. On a side note, I used to respect Ralph and used to respect what he did to the scene, but in my opinion, he’s a pretty unprofessional promoter. I won’t get into details of why we don’t get along anymore, ’cause I want to let the past be the past, and I’ll keep it that way.

  3. There have been 1 brief article and 1 brief mention of Del Rey in the past 3 months on that site. I’d hardly call that “being all over” her. She has ties to upstate New York so she’s worthy of mention.

Your titles states that CRUMBS turned its back on local musicians. You then agree with a statement that CRUMBS does an excellent job supporting local musicians. I suspect from this point on there are 4 possible outcomes.

    1. You’ll delete this comment
    2. You’ll disagree with this comment even though it’s completely factual, providing barely understandable flawed reasoning to support your view
    3. You’ll close comments for this article
    4. You’ll delete the whole article and all its comments

    Your move.

    1. She may be from this area a little bit, but she’s a famous artist in the major label. She’s a world famous pop star, who suddenly became big because of her horrible Saturday Night Live performance. I assure you not many people around here care for Lana Del Rey. The site is aimed for local musicians, not for famous artists. See the point?

The Crumbs guys do support local musicians yes, I respect that, but like I pointed out before, when you want to get rid of something important like the Crumbs radio which a lot of us musicians loved, it shows that they don’t care, right? It just seems that they are starved for the publicity since they ditched the radio for WEXT.

You guys can defend them all you want to, but I will stick with my opinions.

      1. Closing comments on this shit ’cause there’s nothing more to talk about here. Seriously, fuck off if you don’t like what I say here.
