Am I gonna have to buy a PS4 soon? Yep, looks like it…

The PS3 console have been out for several years now… it’s been out for 8 years, I think???

Now that the PS4 has been out for a while now… all of the upcoming video games for the Playstation have been for PS4 exclusive only. Why do they do this? Well, it’s obvious that it’s a sneaky way for Sony to make more money and their little trick to get people all excited to buy a PS4. Yes, I’m sure Sony already did this trick for the original Playstation, the Playstation 2 and 3 but I kind of disagree with this marketing. Just my opinion. People should be able to have the right to choose to keep their current console but Sony will find ways to force people to buy their new console.

The PS3 haven’t really been all that old and already they came out with a new console.

I love video gaming and all. It’s one of my favorite things to do other than music and weight lifting but the video gaming industry can be pretty shady with their marketing and the releases of their products. They gotta make the money somehow, right?

Anyway, yes, I will buy a PS4 console but not right away. I looked up the pricing for the PS4 and it’s like $400 which is not really all that bad. I’ll buy one sometime down the road… maybe next year.

I’m gonna have to get a PS4 so I can get the new Batman and Tomb Raider games which are gonna be for PS4 exclusive only. It kinda sucks but it is what it is. The video gaming industry is kind of greedy… they’ve always have been.

  1. I don’t think it’s shady. It’s good business sense. If you make a new console, but the old one plays the same games, no one would buy the new one, and then you’re out of business. Plus, the PS3 has been out for eight years (seven years when the PS4 dropped.) If you look at how often consoles are released, going back to the early Nintendo days, that’s pretty typical. And in the cartridge days, there was no backwards compatibility whatsoever.
