WWE’s “One Night Stand” ppv review…

I watched last night’s WWE “One Night Stand – Extreme Rules” ppv, a ppv that is full of hardcore wrestling all the way through, every match is anything goes, no holds barred wrestling, and to be honest, that’s the type of wrestling that I love the most. It’s the reason Mick Foley is my hero because he is obviously the king of hardcore wrestling.

It was an ok ppv, simple as that. Most of the matches were pretty boring and a real snooze fest, I’ve been hanging on the computer most of the PPV while it was on, but when the matches start to get real good, I’ll turn to the TV to watch.

The boring matches for last night’s PPV were: Edge Vs. Undertker (Tables ladders and Chairs Match, *yawn*, I’m sick of the Undertaker vs. Edge fued, it’s gone on for too long already), Triple H. vs. Randy Orton (Last Man Standing match, it was a boring as hell match, I’m getting sick of these two wrestling all the time too), Batista vs. Shawn Michaels (Stretcher match, another boring one), and Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga (Falls Count Anywhere, simple one of the worst matches anywhere, I just hung on the computer while this one was on)…

The only two great matches were the “Singapore Cane Match” with a bunch of ECW guys, Big Show won that one, it was a very enteraining match. I’ve been liking Big Show a lot more these days.

The women’s match, an “I Quit” match was actually the best match of the night. It was Beth Phoenix vs. Melina. Both women played the match very well throughout the entire thing. I would like to say that the women’s division is improving and getting better. I’ve been keeping an eye on Beth Phoenix, she’s an amazing performer and a pretty technical wrestler. I’m glad WWE signed her and it’s good to see the women in WWE doing a lot more than just pulling hair and slapping each other. It’s good to finally see great wrestling with the women.

Yep, only two good matches last night, the rest of it was pretty boring. I can see why Vince wants to bring the “Draft” back, it’s a ratings ploy ’cause no one wants to see the same old “Randy Orton vs. Triple H” feud all year long.

  1. It’s great that there is someone else out there over 15 who enjoys wrasslin as much as I do. If I didn’t live in Tennessee I’d say we should hang out, maybe watch some wrasslin, drink some beer, then pick up a couple of hookers and call them nasty names while we was slapping them around and having our way with them. You know, the usual Sunday night thing. You sound like a fun guy!
