The Best
- Whitney Houston appearance, presents Jen Hudson an award. Ya know, like that moment or hate it, you have to admit that when you’re a young singer being at the top of your game, and you’re on stage with Whitney, a legendary pop diva handing you an award in person, that clearly means that Jen Hudson is a legend in the making. Jen Hudson is no legend yet, but what I mean by “legend in the making”, she will become the next Tina Turner/Whitney Houston in the next 20 or 30 years. People are not doing this to Jennifer because of her family tragedy, Jen is getting all of these opportunities because she is talented and unique in her own ways. Her family tragedy has nothing to do with her fame because she was getting the fame before her family murders anyway. I’m not into R&B music much, it’s not my style of music, but I fuckin’ love Jen Hudson, though. She’s probably the best of the American Idol contestants
- Kid Rock performance…Kid Rock is not everyone’s favorite, but I’ve always been a fan. He’s a good songwriter and writes good tunes in my opinion.
- Radiohead performance, I think the marching band Radiohead had with them on stage wasn’t needed, but the song they did was pretty good.
- The Justin Timberlake and T.I. collaboration – That was actually one of the moving and intense performances of the night. I liked it.
- Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and T-Bone performing…this is probably the only thing worth watching the Grammy’s for.
The Worst:
- Taylor Swift/Miley Cyrus performing together.
- Katy Perry performing that annoying “I Kissed A Girl” song, I’m so sick of that song.
- U2 performance, I think “Get On Your Boots” is a good song, but that performance was terrible. U2 are not good live performers anymore, I think it’s about time for them to hang it up and call their new album, their last and retire.
- No mention and no tribute of the “50 Year Anniversary – the Day The Music Died”, the big 50 year anniversary and no mention of Richie Valens, Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper? So the Grammy’s do a tribute on Bo Diddley instead? What a joke!!!
- The Jonas Brothers performing with Stevie Wonder, it seems that good old Stevie would perform with anybody on stage these days. Instead of the Jonas Brothers performing “Superstition” with Stevie, I’d rather have Paul McCartney, Robert Plant and Whitney Houston singing with Stevie instead.
- Carrie Underwood performance, the only good thing about this performance is that killer female electric guitarist, that blond chick holding the red electric guitar playing all them killer solos, she was a great guitar player, I wonder who she is.
