M&F magazine says those so called junky breakfast cereals at the store are good for bodybuilders!!

In this months, “Muscle and Fitness” magazine, there’s a great little article on breakfast cereals. Some of you out there may think that breakfast cereals like Fruit Looops, Corn Pops, Apple Jacks, Honey Smacks, Lucky Charms, Wheaties, Fruity Pebbles, etc. maybe bad for your health.

If you knew how to read nutrition labels on the side of ’em, the truth is, those cereals I listed are actually very healthy! They are also good for body builders. Why? Because on the nutrition labels those breakfast cereals has very little protein in them, and they are all very low in calories. So in reality, those cereals I mentioned won’t make you fat. They are actually good for muscle building. Just mix the cereals with low fat milk and the magazine suggested add the Whey Protein stuff along with it, there’s your healthy breakfast right there.

This may seem kind of childlike to eat these cereals, but it’s worth it for a healthy nutrition. I eat these kind of cereals all the time. My favorites are fruity pebbles, Lucky Charms, Honey Smacks, and Wheaties.

This is just something to think about to those out there are into fitness and wondering about breakfast meals, if you’re tired of eating eggs all the time.

  1. You said they have very little protein in them – you do realize that protein is the most important nutritional requirement, right?

    1. Yes, I know that. If you add those little proteins of cereal with whey protein, there’s your good source of protein right there. I know protein is the most important nutritional requirement, I’ve been putting as much protein as I can in my body as much as possible.

The point of this blog is telling you that those junky cereals are actually healthy.

  2. Well, keep in mind they are loaded with sugar. Sugar is actually helpful when bodybuilding, especially right after a workout, but if you are consuming those cereals frequently, the sugar will be harmful and set you back in your goals. You can obtain the same vitamins and minerals in those cereals from a simple once a day vitamin.

    1. That maybe true, but “Muscle and Fitness” magazine made it clear in that article that those breakfast cereals are good for boydbuilders. I’ll see if I can find that article online.
