Check this out. Lunic’s recent performance a few days ago, performing “Oh No Yoko” with a new lineup (again). A band that I once had so much respect for and kind of starting to lose it. Their recent performances in youtube haven’t been that great and they still haven’t been good lately. I see they have a full band with a new bass player now. This performance is not as energetic as it used be. If I was at the Harrisburg, PA gig, I’d be sitting at the table falling asleep and yawning. Why? The performance was simply not tight. I can barely hear that cello. The cello in my opinion, is what’s killing the band’s energy they once had. Katiee’s vocals sounds like a 5 year old girl lately.
I will post Lunic’s older performance at Jillian’s of “Oh No Yoko” with their former lineup. Notice how their former lineup with Randy in the band, they were much tighter and more energetic? Notice the difference? Katiee’s vocals were much better at the Jillian’s performance.
I know Lunic wants to go far and go to the next level with their music. Maybe get signed to a label but they’re never gonna get to the next level if they don’t start performing with more emotion. I want to see a knockout in your face performance. Not the kind of performance that will bore me to death.

I was at the Malone’s show that you posted (above) and for all who were in attendance, it rocked our faces off. That’s a matter of opinion I guess, but you can hear the howling and hollering at the end of the video, (in Harrisburg, that means you’re doing something right)
It sounds to me like you have a bone to pick but, jeez, the way you write about it above, you’d think ya just broke up with your girlfriend or something.
Malone’s rocked.
Sorry, but the way bands change their members and lineups all the time is a huge turn off for me. I think they were better with their previous lineup. Bands that keep changing their lineups, having different members goes to show that they don’t know much about music that they think they do. It’s turning out that they are hobbyists that are in it for the fun of jamming. There’s a big difference between a hobbyist and a profesional. I’m starting to see Lunic as hobbyists now.
Ever hear of Phantogram? They are profesionals and Phantogram is 10 times better than Lunic. I was digging Lunic for a while, but I’m beggining to see that Lunic is overrated, kind of in the same lines as Ten Year Vamp. Lunic’s songs on the albums sound good but they are never going to sound the same live if they keep changing their band members.
Phantogram has been the same two people for years.
If I’m going to form myself a band one day, I’m going to make sure it’s the same guys that is willing to be committed to stay in the group. Katie is not the good musician that everyone thinks she is.
