I’m sure you all are wondering my thoughts on this whole Steven Slater, controversy. Him going off in a rant after getting in the head by luggage, when the passenger tried to remove it from the overhead compartment on the airplane. He goes on cussing like a storm through the address system speaker machine and grabs a few beers before going down the chute. It was like, all of this came from a scene from an SNL skit or something.
While I did think the story was pretty comical, I’m going to be brutally honest here. Everyone thinks this guy is a hero for what he did. Everyone all of a sudden worships this guy for defending himself on a job. Is this guy a “hero”? LOL. Come on. There is no way he is a hero over this. It’s obvious that this guy either had a short fuse or just wanted some attention. This guy is no hero. The real heros are the US Troops fighting in the Iraq/Afghanistan wars today. The real heros are the victims of 9/11. Not fucking Steven Slater.
This didn’t need to be all over the news as I’m a 100% positive that crazy stuff like this happen on all plane rides. The only reason this was made a famous story ’cause the JetBlue airplane was on it’s way to NYC at the JFK Airport. I don’t consider Steven a hero at all. Not knocking the guy or nothing, but the only reason people are fascinated with this story ’cause they like how Steven acted like an asshole on an airplane. If I was on that plane and seen that myself, I would have shrugged my shoulders and be like, “Eh, whatever, dude, get over yourself”.
So fuckin’ what? The guy got hit in the head by luggage. This shit happens to everybody on planes. The guy’s probably got a temper tantrum in real life, which is probably what made him go off like that in the first place. If I hit him in the head with luggage by accident, and if he went off on me like that, I probably would have flipped him the middle finger or something and tell him to fuck off.
Everyone thinks Steven is cool to what he did, but in my opinion, I don’t see what’s so special about it.
