So New Mexico governor, Bill Richardson denied pardon for Billy The Kid’s murder of Sheriff Will Brady. William J. Brady was brutally shot to death on April 1st, 1878. While Billy The Kid murdered a lot of people around that time, he was going to get possibly pardoned for one murder, not the others. I believe the reason that Billy the Kidd could possibly be pardoned is because Sheriff Brady sided with James Dolan, to start the Lincoln County War, they went to war against Billy and his gang, called, the Regulators. They were feuding over money, power, cattle, etc. You all know the famous story where Billy was shot and killed by Pat Garrett.

While the Kid may have been very dangerous and psychotic back in those days, the things he did weren’t random. He didn’t just do it for the enjoyment of his crimes. Everything he did, had a purpose. He did things for a good reason. Did you think he be famous over this stuff for nothing? The Kid had a hand in changing American history. In reality, The Kid is an American hero. I mean think about it. If Billy haven’t done what he did, and let Sheriff Brady and all those men survive, America wouldn’t be where it is today.

Gov. Richardson should give him the pardon.
