The Top Ten Best Pearl Jam Songs…

Pearl Jam has always been one of my favorite bands. I respected them in the 90’s and still respect them now. They are one of the only grunge bands that never broke up and still going today. Congrats go to Pearl Jam for staying together for this long. I think it would be fun to celebrate the band’s 20 years by naming 10 of their greatest songs, in my opinion.

Here’s the list:

1. “Alive”

(I think this was the first song I heard of them, and immediately I was blown away.  I first heard the song when I saw the video on MTV, of course. This is a beautiful and powerful song. Love it too much!)

2. “Oceans”

(This is my second favorite PJ song off the “Ten” album. It was never a radio single, but still a great song. You can hear the emotion in Eddie’s vocals. His vocals were the best in this song, in my opinion.)

3. “Why Go”

(I think this the band’s most heaviest song ever. It has an incredible guitar riff, Eddie’s voice sounds really angry throughout the whole song. Just a bad ass song overall, love it.)

4. “Animal”

(Love the guitar riffs, the lyrics, and the vocals are awesome. Short song, but very catchy and one of the best songs of “Vs.”.)

5. “Rats”

(This has always been another favorite song of mine off of “Vs.”. PJ takes a different genre by going funk. I love the funky groove and makes you want to dance to it.)

6. “Tremor Christ”

(One of their most underrated songs, and I don’t think they ever played this live. This one of their darkest songs. I love the opening guitar riff. Very unique and different. PJ not afraid go to different directions.)

7. “Bugs”

(Another killer tune off of “Vitalogy”. It’s just an organ and Eddie’s voice.)

8. “Yellow Ledbetter”

(Like a lot of people, this is a favorite PJ song of mine too.)

9. “Nothing As It Seems”

(This is an extremely powerful song, this is the best song off the album “Binaural”, very haunting and creepy.)

10. “Johnny Guitar”

(One of their new songs of “Backspacer”. Best song off the album. Killer guitar riffs. Just a badass tight rock tune.)
