The 10 Best Movie Moms of all time…

In celebration of Mother’s Day tomorrow, I thought it would be fun to name the best movie Moms of all times. Here is a top ten list in no particular order.

Sarah Connor (The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgement Day) – In the first Terminator we get a normal Sarah Connor, but in the 2nd one, she turns into a violent badass. She can’t be left off the list.

Ellen Griswold (The National Lampoon’s series) – Clark maybe a great character but Ellen is an important part of the Lampoon’s series too.

Sally Field in “Forrest Gump” & “Mrs. Doubtfire” (tie) – Sally always played a great Mom, no matter what movie she has done.

Ronnie Neary “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” – This has always been my favorite Spielberg movie. This movie is very powerful. Every time I watch, it was the mother of that kid that I payed the most attention to.

Diane Freeling “Poltergeist 1 & 2” – Without Jo Beth Williams, these films wouldn’t have been interesting.

Elaine Miller “Almost Famous” – Elaine was played by the great, Frances McDormand. This has always been one of my favorite movies.

Momma “Throw Momma From the Train” & Momma Fratteli “The Goonies” (tie) – This great comedy starring Billy Crystal and Danny Devito, the Momma was played by the late & great, Anne Ramsey. She also played the mother in, “The Goonies”, the mother of the Fratteli brothers.

Lorraine Baines  “Back to The Future” – This was a great character, couldn’t be left off the list!

Adrian “Rocky” series – Played by Talia Shire, I couldn’t leave her out.

Leticia Musgrove “Monsters Ball” –This has always been one of my favorite drama films of all times and it’s Halle Berry’s best acting role, in which she won an Oscar from.

I’m sure I’m forgetting many more movie Moms, but these are my favorite ones, I can think of at the top of my head.
