About Sharon’s “Love More” song…

In youtube, I’ve been watching various performances of Sharon’s “Love More”. The funny thing is, the woman plays the song differently at all of her performances. There are too many different versions of the song. Sometimes she plays the song with that weird looking organ instrument (don’t know what it’s called), sometimes she plays it with guitar and sometimes acepella. When she plays the song with guitar though, sometimes she uses different chords and uses different keys.

Which goes to show, this is another reason why I admire her so much. She never plays the song the same way twice live on stage. Most performers play the song the same exact way at every show, but I love performers when they play their original songs differently.

That’s where I come from at my own gigs. I never play an original song the same way twice. It’s called improvisation. Use your imagination. You don’t always have to play songs the same exact way that’s on the recording when you’re playing live. It’s makes things a lot more exciting that way, in my opinion. It’s one of the reasons why I loved Led Zeppelin too much ’cause they never played a song the same way twice. You let your fingers and your mind do the talking when playing on stage.

As for Sharon’s “Love More”, I’ll give my own take on it. While the song is pretty simple to play on guitar, the song is difficult to sing, so I’ll do my best. Practice makes perfect.
