It’s a new era in WWE, and there’s a whole new generation of younger superstars in WWE right now. I figure it would be cool to write out my thoughts on today’s best performers. Here is my top 5:

1. Heath Slater – He’s the long haired redheaded guy who was a former Nexus member! Before RAW 1000, he has been having segments where he would wrestle against a legendary wrestler from RAW. He would wrestle against a different legend each week leading up to RAW 1,000. Heath has main event potential and he’ll get there if WWE uses him right. He’s also creating a buzz in the wrestling world and creating a fan base. I can see him becoming a popular babyface sometime down the road.
2. Jack Swagger – Good wrestler, good look, and good performer. He has a bit of an Owen Hart and Kurt Angle vibe about him. If WWE uses him right, he could become a main event star as well.
3. Ryback – He is the huge bald headed wrestler who will remind you of Goldberg a little bit. He’s in the mid card division right now, but he’s another one who could have a future as a main eventer. Ryback is a cool wrestling character, just wish WWE will use him in a big storyline instead of winning against jobbers every week.
4. Damien Sandow – This guy started getting interesting with his feud against Brodus Clay, the wrestler who dances in the ring with women each week. I think Damien could be a future WWE Champion and Hall of Famer, if they use him right.
5. Wade Barrett – I’ve liked him ever since he started the Nexus group. Wade Barrett has been on a long break from WWE and he is returning soon. If he sticks with WWE for a long time, I can easily see him becoming the next Stone Cold/Rock, down the road. Wade is a British performer and I think he has excellent mic skills too. He is one of the best heels in WWE right now and can’t wait for his return. I hope WWE uses him big.

As for who the best new Diva is, that would be AJ Lee, I guess. AJ Lee is a young performer, maybe in her early 20’s, not sure, but her character is impressive and interesting. She’s the one you want to pay attention to the most, and she’s creating a buzz in the wrestling world too. Who knows how long WWE will use her big like this, before you know it, they would destroy her character. She’s in an interesting feud with Vickie Guerrero right now.
