Film Of the Day: “The Last of the Mohicans”…

Okay, time to get rolling with these, “Film of the Day”, things. I’ll try to do these daily the best I can. “The Last of the Mohicans”, is one film that means a lot to me. I love this film so much. I remember seeing it in theater when it first came out, and this is one film I’ll never get tired of watching ever. While Daniel Day-Lewis had a lot of great roles in his career, his role as Hawkeye tops them all. This is a beautiful film, directed by Michael Mann. I did read the book but to be honest, I love the movie way more. The movie is what the book should have been, they’re both totally different, of course. Everything about the movie is so perfect. The acting, cinematography, the musical score, the action scenes, etc. Just a beautiful film all around, and I always get goosebumps watching it.

The film is set during the French and Indian Wars, tells the story about three Indian trappers, who must protect the British Colonel’s daughters.

This film gets me every time I see it. If you haven’t seen this film, then you must.
