I think I just found a way to hook up my Maudio interface into the Ipad without using “too much power” which is the error that comes up. After seeing this how to video in youtube and doing more googling on it, I found that you would need a powered usb hub. Next time I go to Best Buy, I’ll still see if they have that Irig Pre adapter in stock — if not — I’ll look into buying a powered usb hub there instead. I’m sure you can find a usb hub that would cost around $10 – $30.

I think a power usb hub would definitely take care of all the ground loop problems too.
