Why partying in costume for Halloween is lame…

Welp, Halloween is just around the corner… and I wanted to say something about Halloween that I gotta get off my chest.

This is the time where local bands will have Halloween costume parties at gigs and people will have costume house parties all over your city. I think celebrating Halloween in that way is pretty lame. Especially for an adult if you’re in your 30’s and up. It’s okay to celebrate Halloween in costume for the kids but when you’re an adult… there’s something wrong there. I hardly ever celebrate Halloween in costume as an adult. I did it like once… last year for an EBJ show when I dressed up as a zombie and I don’t celebrate Halloween in costume too much anymore. I think it’s pretty silly when adults do it and I don’t think I’d do it again. Plus, I always have trouble trying to find out what to be for Halloween and always suck at costumes. I find it pretty ridiculous that so many people would spend so much money on expensive costumes. People really get into this stuff, hey?

Well… I would rather celebrate Halloween watching horror films!!! Which is what I’ve been doing.

Just the other night, I just watched the new, “V/H/S/ 2” which I will talk about in another post. This Friday night, I’ll be getting the new “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” film (the new 2013 film, not the Tobe Hooper version) that just came out earlier this year from Netflix DVD which I will watch this weekend.

On Netflix streaming, I watched the first “Ghostbusters”, “Elvira: Mistress of the Dark” and “Poltergeist III”.

Watching scary movies is the best way to celebrate Halloween, in my opinion. Most of you know that horror films is my favorite genre. I grew up on horror fiction.

Speaking of horror films, I gotta do my Top Horror Film list at some point here… I’ll get it done this weekend.
