Here a few questions that I’m wondering now that Lou Reed has passed on:
- Will Lou Reed’s funeral service be public or private or will the family do both??? – Not sure of the funeral plans for Lou Reed yet… haven’t seen anything reported at this time. Will Lou’s funeral be a public one or a private one? Or will they do something similar like what Michael Jackson did have a private funeral and a public one. A public funeral with live music and all.
- Will there be a tribute concert for Lou for live TV? A tribute concert of different artists and bands covering his songs? – I can see something being planned for this in the near future.
- Will the label release a new album for Lou? – Was Lou in the middle of working on a new album before his sudden passing? I think he said before that he had plans in making a new one. Keep in mind Lou was a musician and I’m sure he was always writing music.
- Will the label release previously unreleased songs over the years in his career? – I’m pretty sure Lou stored away plenty of unreleased songs that wasn’t shown to the public. I’m sure we’ll see plenty of unreleased material.
- Will there be a biography book in the works??? – I’m sure somebody is gonna write a book about Lou’s life.
- What will Metallica do for Lou? – It’s no secret that Lou was a huge Metallica fan and you know Metallica will do something for him. Maybe do a concert where they play the “Lulu” album in it’s entirety or maybe cover a bunch of Lou Reed hits. You know Metallica is gonna plan something in honor of Lou… who knows what it’s gonna be.
- What about a biopic movie or a documentary film for Lou? – Maybe… this could be a possibility that Hollywood maybe planning a film for him.
It’s too early to know the answers to these questions but we’ll find out soon enough.
