Original song: “Leave This Place”

Now I finally got a good microphone, I spent all morning re-recording, “Leave This Place”. This sounds MUCH MUCH better than ever before. The sound is pretty clean. No background noises at all.

I can make good sounding acoustic demos finally!!!!

Enjoy this.

    1. From what I heard on the headphones, the vocals sound fine but when you listen to it without headphones and through the speakers, you probably notice the clipping in the vocals. I think I might have to turn the vocals down a little. I’ll work on it.

      1. I usually try NOT to give good feedback on my own music but man, I think this is one of the best songs I’ve ever written. I’m really am proud of it. You’re gonna hear more original songs like this too. Original folk rock songs with a lot of my own backup vocal harmonies kind of like a CSNY and Simon & Garfunkel thing, ya know? That’s what I’m aiming for, that kind of sound!

      2. Still the same. The problem happens when you record the vocals, not after you mix it. You need to adjust the level you record at.

      3. Yeah, I’m pretty new to this new microphone that I just got so it’ll take some time to learn so my tracks won’t sound clipped. I’m good at making the guitar parts not sounding like they’re clipped but the vocals are pretty tough. I’m gonna do some reading and googling on it.

On top of that… the track I just released was just a song idea after all so it wasn’t meant to be taken seriously.

I’ll still learn how to improve it, though. Feel free to give me any advice you want to. Thanks.

      4. I’m doing my very best to try and make my audio tracks sound like they’re a professional recording and that’s my goal. This stuff is a pain and annoying but it’s good stuff to learn.

      5. To bone75, I just got feedback about the song from a musician in facebook and he said it sounds perfect. He said the song sounds a little “clipped” but not too bad. The part I think where you say it maybe clipped is the part where I started doing them all of those, “ooooohssss” in the song. When the “oooohs” started, it wasn’t clipped… it was how I started it. It’s just how I sang it. The musician from facebook said the song is fine and said I should leave it right where it is so the song is perfect. I guess you’re entitled to your own opinion. I don’t think I’ll take music advice from you again. I’m just doing just fine, thanks.
