I just got that keyboard I was talking about a few minutes ago. Somebody I know didn’t want it anymore so this person gave it to me.

It is a MIDI keyboard, btw. I will be able to hook up this keyboard into my IPAD so I can use it with garageband and stuff but I would need an Irig MIDI adapter for that which I will buy soon.

Before I hook this keyboard up to do some recording with first I have to learn how to play the instrument. Which is what I’m planning to do soon. I just bought a piano instruction ebook for the Ipad to start off with. Next time I go to Barnes & Noble, I’ll buy more Piano and Keyboard books.

Learning to play the keyboards/piano will take me several months so I can get the hang of the basics and stuff. Once I get good enough with the keyboards/piano, then I’ll start writing some songs on it and playing some covers or whatever.

I wanna take this instrument seriously and commit myself to learning it.

Now that I have a MIDI keyboard with MIDI hookup and all that stuff… I’ll soon be able to make my own backing tracks to my songs. That’s what I wanted a MIDI keyboard for.

Once I get good at playing the piano which should take me about several months or a year, I’ll start doing some MIDI stuff with it. Like I said above… I gotta get an Irig MIDI adapter first which should cost about $60 not so bad. I’ll see if they have them for sale at Best Buy.
