People in facebook are misinformed with fitness & bodybuilding… it’s crazy as hell!!!

I appreciate that people want to change their lives by trying to get some exercise in their lives to look fit and healthy but I really believe many in facebook don’t know what they’re doing at all. A few people know what they’re doing and smart at fitness but most people are just real dumb.

Reasons being it’s great that they want to lift weights, do bodyworkouts or just do cardio but what they are mostly misinformed about is the nutrition. A lot of people don’t want to eat clean. Eating clean is key to reaching your dreams and goals. If you workout and just eat what you want… you’re not gonna succeed.

I see a lot of posts in facebook that people dream of getting a six pack abs. Six pack abs is so easy to get. It’s a piece of cake and I got a six pack successfully with no problems. How did I get a six pack? Simply by not eating a lot. I still eat 4 to 5 meals a day but I watch my calorie count. I also do quite a lot of cardio mostly bike riding and sometimes jogging. Cardio is also key to losing body fat. To get six pack abs, you must lower the bodyfat that’s covering it.

I don’t do ab workouts anymore. I think ab workouts are a waste of time and they don’t exactly work. Yes, I’m talking about crunches, planks, leg lifts  and all that phony stuff. You know that old quote through the fitness community, “Abs are made in the kitchen.”? Well, it’s true. If you eat clean meals… high protein/low carb stuff, eat healthy carbs, fiber, and you need to eat a lot of vegetables… do all that… you’ll be on your way to getting a six pack. I’ve been doing all of that.

I’ve always had low bodyfat ’cause I was never fat. If you’re overweight or a little chubby, it’ll obviously take a long time but if you keep at it and don’t give up the clean nutrition… you’ll succeed in no time. There’s a few women in facebook that I’ve seen who were first a little overweight but they lost a lot of weight and now they look really thin ’cause they knew what to do and they were smart at it.

People think they can lift weights and do body workouts… eat whatever you want but fitness doesn’t work that way.

Fitness and alcohol doesn’t mix either. When I first got into fitness like 4 or 5 years ago, I had to give up drinking alcohol and it works. It not only helps you lower the bodyfat percentage… no drinking helps you work out better with intensity ’cause alcohol can slow your body down… some people don’t realize that.

It’s insane how people don’t wanna eat clean when they’re going to the gym and stuff. When you give them the advice that they should eat clean… they usually get defensive.

Eating clean most of the time will help give you muscle gains faster and will lose bodyfat. You don’t want to give up junk food completely, though. It’s good to reward yourself and junk food can be helpful but just don’t overdo it. I only have my junk food on the weekends only. Mostly pizza, chinese or ice cream on the weekends in the evening hours. While I gave up most junk food over the years, I still have a few cravings. I can’t give up my ice cream ’cause it’s my favorite!!!! It’s okay to have a few cheat meals or cheat days.

Again, getting low bodyfat is a piece of cake. So easy that anybody can do it. Watch who you take advice from in youtube and all the fitness gurus online ’cause a lot of it’s bullshit and that includes P90x.

To get fit, all it takes is to workout hard and eat real good. Eat your meats (I would recommend chicken breast and fish), veggies, whole grains, healthy fats, etc.

I’m in good shape and proud of myself. Changing your nutrition maybe scary but it’s worth it, trust me. Before I got into fitness, I was addicted to junk food and I had to knock it off — take better care of myself. I don’t really want to look like a big bodybuilder. I just want a medium sized built and I’m happy just the way I am now. Eat clean and change your life. Eating healthy things is not that bad.

P90X, fake before and after photos…

There was a guy in facebook today who posted up a status complaining about the negativity that was being posted on a youtube video by a woman who uses P90x. He was complaining about youtube users bashing this woman for having breast implants after successfully losing weight. This guy said that these people should stop bashing this woman and respect her for going from 220 – 120 lbs or something like that. He was saying there should be no negativity for women successfully achieving their goals despite her implants.

I look at that post, scratch my head and I’m like, “seriously”???

I had no choice but to reply to that post and call this guy out…

I said something like… “Those P90x before and after success stories are fake. They have fake women for those as a way to advertise and sell the product”. I can’t remember exactly what I said since the guy blocked me after I said it but it went something like that. I sided with the guys bashing this woman on that youtube video. I didn’t see it ’cause he didn’t post the actual video. I was just making observations.

The thing is, I always hated that P90x and beachbody stuff. I bashed those programs long ago on this blog and I still stand by my opinions on them. They are a pretty shady and evil company. I think P90x is fake and they don’t really work. That beachbody coach stuff is just laughable as well as I think all that stuff is nothing but a scam.

Most before and after/success stories on the internet are pretty much fake. You can’t trust everything you see in the fitness world online. I think this Tony Horton guy is a fake as well. All these fitness people with P90x — they make themselves look good as a way to help sell the product. That’s all this company is about. Advertising and money. That’s what they do. Find creative ways to take money from people. What’s even shadier is that P90x and beachbody tries to sell their supplement products.

I think people who goes for these P90x and Beach Body coaching are just delusional people living in fantasy land.

I would never go for this shit. NEVER!

You don’t need to spend that kind of money to get ripped, and you don’t need to be a beach body coach.

The only thing you need to get yourself ripped and get in pretty good shape is just you and your body. You don’t need to get all special and fancy in working out. All you need is just your body and a small dumbbell set, and a few other cheap workout equipment, then you’re set! I don’t really need a gym membership either but I go to the public gym ’cause they have certain workout equipment that I need for certain body parts but other than that, I do most of my workouts at home, pretty much. I do chest and tricep workouts at home. Legs and back workouts I do at the gym.

P90X and Beachbody coaching is all garbage, man.

Back to before and after photos, you gotta love the magic of photoshop, airbrushing, etc.

I can assure you that my own before/after photos are not fake. I really do have a successful and ripped body! I’ve been doing it for 4 years or a little over now. I’ve been working out all year round with very little breaks. I didn’t join no piece of shit program like P90x or Beachbody to get what I want either!

At the gym, I have been lifting heavier than ever now! 200 lbs on the leg press, about 45 lbs. dumbbells for shoulder presses, 50 lbs for T-bar row, etc. You get the idea, and I’m feeling really good and strong! Who needs P90x or any of those dumb work out programs that are advertised by the infomercials on TV. All that is bullshit to me.

Honestly, you don’t need to spend any money at all to get the body of your dreams. It can be done!

Newest fitness progress…

I may not look like Channing Tatum or those shirtless dudes all over the calendars but this is just a natural look in bodybuilding. I think I’m starting to see a little bit of results in the chest. You see, I still may need some more work on the chest but I think they look pretty decent for now. I just did a lot more pushups and did some free weights work like benching on the Smith machine, different dumbbell presses, cable crossovers, etc. I don’t over train the chest. I hit ’em hard for a few workouts like once a week and did a little more heavier lifting. I’m happy with the way I look currently. However, bodybuilding shouldn’t really be about looking perfect. Trying to have a sexy body is for posers. I just want to get more strength, look a little better with my shirt off, and get healthy. I’m not really trying to impress the ladies (which could be a huge plus, of course)… I just wanna be strong and muscular.

This is my 4th or 5th year on with not too many breaks. Didn’t get injured hardly at all. Hard work just pays off. If you wanna get there, just eat responsibly, work out hard and anybody can get ripped easily. I don’t believe those stupid myths where people say, “it takes a long time to get a big physique” or “you won’t get muscular at all”. Bullshit. You can get ripped in a short time. Just eat right, work hard, don’t listen to the nay sayers and anything is possible.

I’m committed to bodybuilding.

Scooby announces he’s done with his fitness instruction…

Scooby, a popular online fitness guru… announced that he’s all done with his Scooby Fitness stuff. He’s shutting down everything and moving on.

Well, that’s what you get when you put yourself out there for the whole world to see. You want to be a controversial person… people will get you for it. You just gotta learn how to handle the heat.

I’ll admit that I followed Scooby over the years and learned some stuff from him. I learned some of his workouts and nutrition advice, although, I too disagree with a lot of bullshit he says. Honestly, I’m not broken hearted of him leaving. I’d say good riddance.

Trying to get bigger chest pecs… really trying but it won’t happen over night…

Yes, I’m still trying to find ways to get a bigger chest. Trying to get better chest development and I just figured it out. I’m gonna have to have patience. Building muscle really is a slow process but there are still ways to get more gains. 1) You need to eat a strict diet most of the time 2) You need to hit the chest muscles hard once a week. That’s what I have been doing for a long while. I’ve been lifting heavier on the dumbbells for the chest workouts. Been doing a lot of floor presses and been doing more dumbbell flies as well. I also do like 40 – 50 push ups a week.

I still can’t do a 100 straight push ups without stopping but I’m working my way up there. For now I can do a straight 50 push ups without stopping.

Whenever I take my shirt off for a photo, chances are somebody’s gonna say I don’t have much of a chest. Keep in mind that I’ve been working out for 4 or 5 years still. I’m in the intermediate level of bodybuilding now, I would think. I think my chest looks fine now but could use more improvements.

Lately, I’ve been working the chest harder than ever before. My chest muscles are still really sore from my chest workout the other day. That’s good. You want them to be sore. I’ve been following the “No pain, no gain” rule in bodybuilding lately. That really is the secret to more gains. Hit each body part really hard once a week and give each body part at least 4 or 5 days of resting — then you’ll get somewhere.

I really am committed to having a jacked body. I know what I’m doing. Yes, I’m still working out. I keep going all year-round non-stop. I only take a full week off every once in a blue moon.

A lot of people struggle to get ripped. A lot of guys at the Y don’t really have ripped physiques like I do, not trying to sound like an ego-maniac. Maybe once, I’ve seen a huge black guy who is a monster but that was the only true bodybuilder that I saw at the Y. Other guys look like they’re struggling and trying so hard. I really do know what I’m doing in the bodybuilding world.

I don’t do benching at the gym ’cause why? 1) It’s overrated 2) I find the dumbbells and bodyweight workouts like push ups to be more effective. That’s just my humble opinion, folks.

I love bodybuilding and still doing it. It’s not like I want to get a career out of bodybuilding, I just want the look. Not gonna become a model, a bar bouncer, security guard at a concert or anything like that. I just want the big muscular look and already at a decent start! Just want to look better with my shirt off. Plus, to get healthy and change my life around.

Haven’t posted a fitness topic in a while, so why not now?

Kev

Edit to add: Although, I must say that being a bar bouncer or a security guard at a rock concert would be  a fun job. Breaking up rowdy fights sounds like a lot of fun!

How to get visible abs (or better known as a six pack)…

Some of you have been seeing my shirtless photos, and I’m sure you’ve all have noticed the six pack on me now, which I believe I successfully achieved. A lot of gym go’ers and bodybuilders out there are struggling to get lower bodyfat. They all want the six pack abs. A lot of people mistakenly waste all their time on crunches, sit ups, planks, and other worthless ab workouts. They also buy all these worthless ab workout equipment like ab spinners or medicine balls and all that crap. How did I successfully get a six pack? It’s really that simple folks!

Just eat really good most of the time and do cardio. The key to getting the six pack is lowering the bodyfat that is covering the ab muscles. You don’t really need to do crunch exercises. I do, but I rarely do crunches that much.

To get a six pack, you need to eat less. That doesn’t mean you should eat 1 or 2 meals a day. You need to eat 4 or 5 small meals a day. Avoiding all junk food of any kind. Avoid all high sugars. Avoid high calories, and fatty foods. No simple carbs or processed stuff. For beverages, you need to give up on the soda and other bad stuff. You even have to cut way down on the alcohol. I don’t drink alcohol much anymore, but I still like to have a few once in a blue moon, that won’t hurt anything.

You need to eat more vegetables and fruit. Drink nothing but water or hot green tea. Eat healthy carbs, fiber, vitamins, and your usual high protein/low carb meals. It didn’t take me long to get visible abs ’cause I was never really all that fat. I always had low bodyfat but since I got into bodybuilding like 3 or 4 years ago, that helped me get lower bodyfat even more.

For cardio, all you need is like 20 or 30 minutes a day either biking, running, walking, jogging, swimming, jump roping, etc. I don’t obsess with cardio too much, all I need to do cardio for is a couple of times a week. I usually do a lot of biking and sometimes jogging.

It’s not that hard to get a six pack. Pretty easy, in fact. The reason that a lot of them struggle to get it ’cause a lot of don’t want to admit that their nutrition is still shit. They’re still addicted to bad food and that’s why they are not successful at lowering bodyfat even if they do a lot of cardio in the gym. Good eating is key to getting there. Period. End of story.

A lot of people don’t want to eat healthy but if you want to have a successful physique and look good, it’s worth it. Eating healthy food may not be tasty but again,it’s worth it. I still have a lot to learn with nutrition myself and will try to get even more strict with my meals in the future. I do have cheat meals, and still like to have junk food, every now and then but on the weekends only. I would have either Ice cream or take out dinners (Pizza or Chinese). I’ve said it before, that cheat meals won’t ruin your physique, it’ll actually help, just don’t obsess with it too much, only in moderation.

Speaking of fitness and bodybuilding, I had to take a week off of it ’cause I came down with a cold. Feeling better now, I think, so I might be hitting the gym tomorrow. I don’t take too many breaks in bodybuilding. Only when I need a rest or when I’m sick, is the right time to take some time off. A lot of people like to take on and off breaks from it which isn’t good. I like to go all year round, non stop. I really am committed to this, and really want to get big as possible.

Fitness feedback…

That photo I posted in my facebook page, so far so good, nothing but positive feedback. I got a few thumbs up, and a few replied saying good job. Out of over 200 friends, only like 6 or 7 replied. That’s okay, though. Several replies is better than nothing. I’m sure everyone else liked what they saw, they’re just too shy to tell me “good job”, or like I said in a different post, jealousy is a small part of it. I’m not trying to sound like a megalomaniac, just being realistic and telling it like it is.

I know on the photo the lighting effects is not that great, but I did it on purpose, ’cause that lighting effect shows off that kind of muscle definition pretty clearly. Kind of like photography magic. I did take shirtless pics in the bright sun before, though.

Yeah, it is possible that you can get big and jacked, in a quick time. Just eat real good, work out hard, lift heavy, stay committed, don’t give up, and anybody can get that look. Anybody can look like Sly Stallone at any age, and that’s my goal. If he can get ripped and jacked like that at 60 years old, that’s how I want to look when I reach his age.

I still have a lot of learning to do in bodybuilding, though. This Spring/Summer, I plan to take things to a whole new level. Start working out 4 times a week, instead of 3. Do more sets & reps, instead of 3 – 12, and start lifting heavy. I want to do Strongman training, ’cause there’s a guy I know that does that stuff, lift everything heavy in the backyard. Flipping large tires, lifting cannon balls, dead lifting heavy things, etc. All that stuff. I was told that will get you big quick.

Bodybuilding is great. Glad I got into it. It’s all pretty easy and very safe to do.

Kev

I think my pecs are just fine the way they are, but I will always improve them, though…

When you put your progress pics out there for the world to see, you’re going to come across a lot of jealous people and some may even respond back with negative feedback. You work your ass off after years of hard work and dedication in fitness, yet other people want to put you down with their jealousy and ego. The trick is, don’t let that stuff bother ya. As long as people are getting jealous and getting mad, it’s actually a good thing. It means that you do have a successful muscular physique and people aren’t liking it. It bothers them ’cause they aren’t in that great shape themselves. The thing is, just think of all the negativity as motivation for your part. That’s how I look at it. The negative responses or no feedback at all, it’s just motivation to keep me going. Pumping iron in the gym and get even bigger.

The last thing you want to do is listen to opinionated people. If they say you need more work on this and more work on that, just take it for what it is, an opinion. If people say your physique sucks and all that stuff, don’t listen to any of it. They just want to put you down and upset you. They want to make it seem like you accomplished nothing, after all the hard work you did. What you are doing in the gym is an amazing thing. You are changing your life for the better, and that is being successful, no matter how ripped and jacked your body is or not. Other people should be proud of you, but again, jealousy gets in the way of everything. People won’t give you positive feedback because they don’t want to admit that you are in great shape.

These are kind of the stuff I am experiencing now. If I was just as pretty as Channing Tatum or Taylor Lautner, maybe everyone  (especially the ladies ) would give me positive feedback then. This is natural bodybuilding. I’m not gonna have a perfect and beautiful body like those fake men in the magazines. I can’t tell how good my physique looks, but as long as I’m getting mixed reactions, it’s letting me know I look good enough.

I think my pecs look like a bodybuilder chest now. Maybe not a large built, but a decent built. I posted that photo in facebook this morning, and it’s already starting to get positive feedback.  A few ladies replied too!

While I think I look pretty good now, I want to look even better in the future. I want to be that type of bodybuilder where everyone will go, “Oh wow, look at the size of that guy, you better not mess with him”. I can get big in size, and don’t listen to anyone who want to doubt you.

Kev

Latest bodybuilding pose, twitter exclusive…

I think I’m getting some improvements. The chest seems to be getting better results. I’ve been staying away from dumbbells and benching for the chest workouts, I’ve been doing all kinds of push ups, and the push ups is kind of helping, I think. That’s for you to judge.

I don’t post these photos online for attention or to jerk myself off with,  I post ’em to get feedback. I can’t tell how good my physique look, so I let other people tell me whether it’s good or not. I like what I see, though. That’s a natural look. It’s real. Not photo shopped. No steroids. No supplements. No pro hormones. It’s all just clean eating and hard work.

Check out the photo, here.

Do the ladies think I look hot, yet? LOL, kidding but ya never know, though!

Kev

Yes, I’m still doing the bodybuilding…

I know I’ve said I wanted to get a Sly Stallone kind of like physique, but quite honestly, I believe I’m already there. I have pretty big arms. I’ve just measured them the other day, and my guns has grown at least 15 inches. I have pretty low body fat and I do have visible abs. My quads have gotten some major gains lately. I got quite a built on the shoulders and traps. My forearms have gotten a little bigger as well. I’ve been doing a lot of heavy lifting weekly. I’m doing real good on the bodybuilding adventures. It has been quite a ride and quite a life change, still have lots of work to do.

Some ask me, why am I trying to get big as possible when I don’t really want to compete? The truth is, I just want the look. I just needed to take care of myself and wanted to look better with my shirt off ’cause honestly, I used to hate seeing myself shirtless, and now I’m not afraid to go shirtless anymore. There are too many reasons why I want the built physique. I just wanted to prove people that I can be physically active and be good at something.

I want to take new progress pics, so I can give proof on my progress to show that I’m not lying, but I need a self timer with the camera on the Ipad. I’ll download one soon. Or I might do a quick video of my progress instead.

I may have gotten a little bit bigger than before and I feel I have made some improvements.

I get people telling me all the time that they are impressed of how much bigger I am getting every time they see me. It’s an amazing feeling getting all kinds of feedback from people everywhere you go. When you get people positively commenting on your physique in person, that’s when you know you are successful at bodybuilding. I’m never giving this up. I also want to prove you can get big as possible without any supplements, steroids or drugs. Just don’t listen to the people who want to think you’re crazy or if they want to doubt you, and anything is possible.

My question is, why would people accuse me of never getting the ripped physique of my dreams, when I already have a ripped physique now? When people criticize you, they are most likely jealous for sure.
