Cool Video: A few videos of Lou Ferrigno promoting fitness…

If you want to talk about being inspired by famous bodybuilders & fitness people, look how Lou Ferrigno, the Hulk, teaches others and inspires. Listen to his advice, such as “If you don’t have the passion, why even bother’, is a great one. Lou is the fuckin’ man! I also like, “I love the feeling of being healthy & love the feeling of pumping iron”. See how he likes helping people? He’s a personal trainer himself I believe as he trained Michael Jackson.

Thought: Why is Jillian Michaels so inspirational? Why do people care?

I am so sick of seeing her everywhere, Jillian Michaels. The annoying so called trainer who think she’s hot stuff. Why is it that people care about her that keeps her in the media spotlight? She’s not hot and she’s so fake than everyone out there lately. Do you actually believe her physique is real? No one at all thinks she might have had plastic surgery, possibly? I refuse to learn from her for a lot of reasons. I won’t read her instructional books on “health & fitness” and won’t even buy her workout videos ’cause they are all a waste of money. Why people waste their money learning from her, when all you need is a cheap gym membership and some of your own workout equipment at home?

She’s not inspirational.

My real inspirations for fitness would be from real guys like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Lou Ferrigno, and Dolph Lundgren. The stuff those guys do, and how they inspire people to get into fitness & bodybuilding is great…but Jillian is all about money & her fame.  If you buy her material, you’re just wasting your time & money

Jillian is shady, fake and needs to be off TV completely. It really disturbs me how Jillian trains those people on “The Biggest Loser”. Please America, just forget Jillian. She’s worthless. Just my opinion.

The warm and hot weather is here, where it’s time to be shirtless outside more often…

The question you have to ask is, will I tan my body? To be summer ready? I don’t know, I’ve been thinking about it a lot. They say tanning the body is important because it helps make the muscles a lot more visible. It’s why you see so many tanned bodybuilders. My goal is to have a natural look. So I would want to be careful to not be too dark. I’ll have to tan outside because my hometown doesn’t have a tanning salon where they have those indoor tanning bed things with those weird lights. Not sure if I will tan or not, but I might do a little bit. I just wanted to tone my body up so I can look good and summer ready.

I will be fit and muscular all year round, I’m going to keep going. Some people would work out for a while before the summer so they can be summer beach ready, and then stop working out after the summer…but not with me. I ain’t stopping, no matter the situation. This is how I am passionate and dedicated with fitness. It’s something I can finally be good and successful at other than music. When I was younger, I used to swim with a t-shirt on ’cause I didn’t like being flat chested. I don’t need a shirt anymore at the beach.

I will post more pics later in the month for more improvements and to see how I progressed.

How I did it…the body…

Like I said, nutrition is key to getting ripped. Just simply avoided anything with high sugars and high fructose corn syrup. Yep, I gave up soda completely now. Just ate more fruits, vegetables. Eating more fish than anything (I eat various other meats like steak and chicken) and all I eat for breakfast everyday is eggs. For bread and english muffins, all of those are whole grains now. Real whole grains without the high fructose corn syrup. For a snack, I would go for fruit, Chobani Greek Yogurt and a Whey Protein drink. I’m still studying nutrition too. When I read stuff about nutrition from the fitness magazines or online, I’ll write stuff down to get them from the store when I go shopping. I’m very careful of what I eat or drink now. I keep a strict nutrition during the week and on weekends I’ll have fun and eat a cheat or two. It’s mostly ice cream is one of my cheats.

If you can keep a strict nutrition, then you’ll be on your way to a jacked body in no time. No need to use those expensive and fancy supplements you get from GNC. All you need is Whey Protein. I never used any supplements. Well Whey Protein is a supplement somewhat, but a lot of fitness people considered it food. So it’s not really an actual supplement.

If I can do it, so can everyone. I’m not an overweight person, which is why it took me a short time to get a fit body.

Having pride and motivation…

Lately, I have been getting great comments and feedback on my physique. People come up to me in person and say to my face about the developments I’ve been getting about my arms and shoulders. That’s the incredible thing with fitness. The better you look, the more people will come up to talk to ya. You get more respect with the people around you. If you want to get stares by the people in public everywhere you go or if you want more women to flirt with ya, you gotta work hard and take fitness with pride. Having the motivation is important. I notice some people don’t take pride and motivation in fitness at all. Well, I do. Getting the ripped and buffed physique that you dream of, can happen to anybody if you have the pride and motivation for it.

I’ll admit that I want to look good for the performing stage. It seems that music is about the looks and good stage presence these days, so I figure I would bulk myself up ’cause what if I’ll want to play guitar shirtless if the venue allows it? Just want to have a better look as a musician.

Don’t listen to anybody who shoot your fitness dreams down. Don’t give up your dream no matter what people say. Nothing is stopping you for wanting to get ripped even if people laugh and say, “in your dreams”.  It can happen to anybody if you take pride in it. I would post pics of myself but don’t have photoshop yet, but I hope to start posting pics of my progress soon.

Just exactly how muscular I want to get???

Some may ask, how big and strong do I want to get in fitness? Well, that’s what I don’t know yet, actually. Whatever I can do, I guess. I do want bigger arms, bigger chest, and bigger legs. I do want visible abs of course. I do have a vision in my head of what I want to look like. I’m probably gonna go for a Sly Stallone inspired look since he was the guy that got me interested in this in the first place. Probably no bigger than that. It’ll take me  years to get there but I’m doing the best I can. Taking my time and not rushing it.

I like to write about this fitness stuff in my blog here, ’cause I read in bodybuilding source that it’s important to keep some kind of journal either public or private. You’ll see other fitness people writing about their progress through online forums, blogs, etc. So I just do all that right here publicly.

I really need to post some recent pictures of me soon so I can show you all that I’m really doing this thing. I won’t post shirtless pics of me yet, but at least you’ll see how muscular my arms have gotten as of late. I want to post a pic or two of me flexing my arms so I can silence the “doubters” who think I’m lying and being delusional. I’ll need to post pics so I can avoid, “post pics or it didn’t happen”  replies coming in. I’ll post arm pics soon.

Studying nutrition…

These days I’ve became more strict on nutrition. Been watching what I eat. Gave up on drinking soda and anything with “high fructose corn syrup”. Becoming more strict on what I eat for breakfast, lunch, dinners and snack meals. Trying to do the six meals a day routine. I read about health & nutrition through “Muscle and Fitness” magazine and online resources. Yep, I pretty much gave up eating junk food…but not completely though, I still like to have a few cheats on the weekends. For a snack at night during the week, I’ll eat fruits (like bannannas, apples, etc.), I’ve recently discovered Greek yogurt which is very high in protein and has 0 fat.

People don’t seem to think that when you eat random things, food doesn’t affect your body. Well, yes, everything in food does affect your body. Which is why we have so many overweight and obesed people all over the USA. Becoming fat happens for one reason. Horrible nutrition. It’s really that simple. You can’t eat junk food and do bodybuilding at the same time, that’s never gonna help lose weight or get you ripped.

You have to get strict on your eating habits if you want to build muscle and get the body of your dreams. Nutrition is “key” to getting ripped. Before I pick up an item at the store, I find myself looking at the Nutritional Label first. If it ain’t healthy, back on the shelf it goes. If it’s high in protein and not too fatty, in the shopping cart it goes. Learning nutrition is fun. I’m enjoying it. The more you get into it, the more you get addicted to eating right and it’ll make you want to stay that way. Soon I will buy myself a small cooler to bring my own healthy meals to work ’cause sometimes they offer me meals that is not too healthy. If people offer me food that is not good, I refuse to take it.

Eating a few cheat meals (junk food) on the weekends is still okay ’cause it’s still important to put calories and carbs on ya to get bigger.

This is the only way to get that six pack abs. Must get rid of all bodyfat that is covering it. Doing crunches, eating right and cardio. It’s really simple.

Cool Video: Bodybuilders don’t play video games? You’re so wrong…

I got this add request in youtube by a guy named Micah Lacerte who owns a company called Hitch Fit. He’s a model & personal trainer. Micah and his friend, Diana both review a video game called, “Darksiders” for the Xbox 360. Bodybuilders and fitness people play video games, watch TV or watch movies like the rest of us. It’s a really great way to relax and heal up those muscles after a hard day of working out.

Enjoy this video while Micah sits there and plays the game. Diana reads through a walkthrough book to teach him how to play.

Gotta wonder what Easter is like with bodybuilder’s and fitness people…

Well Easter came and gone. I just wonder how bodybuilder’s and fitness people handle easter. This is the time where candy starts getting handed out to everyone. I’m sure a lot of bodybuilders and fitness people have children and little toddlers of their own, and I’m sure they sometimes eat candy with them for fun. For some fitness people like myself, kind of worry. We think to ourselves, “Damn it, I got some candy and wonder if I should eat it?” I’m sure some fitness people don’t eat candy on Easter and some do with their kids. I read somewhere that chocolate can be a great cheat. Really look it up yourself. It is widely known that chocolate is a pretty common cheat in fitness.

So as long as you’re eating a healthy nutrition most of the week, it won’t kill you to eat a day of chocolate.

These days, I’m taking nutrition so seriously, it’s crazy. What I do is keep a strict nutrition during the week by eating healthy things, and on weekends, I’ll eat a cheat or two like ice cream or chips & dip. I watch what I eat now by reading the nutrtition labels on the back of food items and stuff like that. Making sure things are high in protein, not too sugary and fatty.

The only thing I don’t know how to do yet in fitness, is calculating and measuring how much % of body fat I have. I’m sure it’s very easy to do and will ask the owner at my local gym to give me a lesson on that. Edit to add: I shouldn’t be that bad in bodyfat %’s, because I’m not overweight at all. Right now, I weigh about 150. I’m pretty sure that’s “Muscle” pounds, not “fat” pounds. That’s why I need to know my bodyfat %’s so I can make sure. If I’m still a little bit flabby, I’ll work on it more. Yes, I’m doing the very best I can to get a ripped and jacked physique I’ve always dreamed of. It’ll take me a long time to do but I’ll get there.
