Shirley Manson the singer for the rock band Garbage is confirmed to have a role in season 2 for “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, a TV show spinoff from the Terminator films. Manson is set to play the character Catherine Weaver as the CEO of a high tech company.
Manson’s band Garbage made it big in the 90’s with their monsterous hit songs such as “Stupid Girl”, “Only Happy When It Rains” and others. Manson has said before that she wants to start a career in acting.

I enjoyed the band Garbage, they wrote killer tunes. Congrats to Shirley on her acting career, hope she gets successful with it.

When will Shirley Manson appear on the BBC’s Doctor Who series.Billy Piper and Kylie Minogue have appeared. Shirley could be The Rani(the renegade genius badgirl Timelord equil to The Master and The Doctor).Dr Who Series 3 ended( The last Timelord)with The Master being creamated ,then a female hand reaching and retreiving a ring out of the ashes with the Master laughing in the backround.The tree would team up to win the Time War over the Daleks and save Gallifrey from being destroyed.However, if Shirley’s not available, I think Siouxie Sioux would also be a great choice as The Rani.
