More on going to college…

So I picked my classes that I plan to take in Acc College this fall. The courses I may be taking are: “Reading, Writing Workshop A”, “Creative Writing: Drama, Poetry and Fiction”, and “Small Business Management”.

The college thing is really happening this fall and I’m getting excited. This is something I should have done a long time ago after I graduated high school.

The reason I’m taking those writing courses is beacuse like I said before, I am taking fiction writing again seriously and want to get better at it. I’m also taking the “Small Business Management” course, because I hope to own my own small business in the future.

I want to own my own store in Greenwich that sells a variety of stuff from books, music CD’s, video games, DVDs/Blu Ray discs, etc. I want to have live music in that store too of course probably starting off with open mic shows.

As far as working my job goes, I’m going to have to work my job part time in the fall ’cause I can’t do both college and work full time. I’d rather do college full time instead of work, so for work, I’ll go back to part time. I’ll need more free time to study for tests and exams and stuff.

Sometime soon before the fall, I need to go to Acc College to get registered and sign up for the classes I want to take. I’ll probably start going back to school when I get back home from my San Diego vacation.

As far as my San Diego vacation goes, I’m really looking forward to that as well. We’re definitely gonna go to the famous “San Diego Zoo” and they do allow cameras there, so I’ll take a bunch of pics at the Zoo. I’ll probably do other things besides the Zoo of course, like going to the beaches, doing some shopping in downtown San Diego, going to the bars/clubs for a few drinks, eat at some expensive restaurants probably, sight seeing in San Diego, etc. Whatever we can think of.

My brother and his girlfriend lives in downtown San Diego, directily in the city, just a couple of blocks from the beach. Can’t wait to get out of New York for a week, I haven’t been on vacation in a long long time. The last vacation I went on was at Martha’s Vineyard island, in Mass and that was a couple of years ago.

  1. Kev, going back and getting more education is always a good idea. For years I’ve worked at Tobin First Prize Meat Packing in Albany (3rd shift). I’ve always hated this job. Awhile back I decided to enroll online for college course. In May I’ll have my degree from an international university (Guadalajara University) in Camp Counseling. I can teach or actively camp counsel all around the U.S. and Mexico! This is a much better fit for me work wise. Good for you for going back to school.

Sometimes lyrics to songs give a good philosophy on life which fits the life/career change Kev and I are going through:

“There’s still time to change the road you’re on” – Robert “Percy” Plant

” I don’t know where I’m going, but I sure know where I’ve been.” – David Coverdale (sometimes called Coverversion), Jon Bon Jovi, Joe Lynn Turner, Joel Fucshino, and many others

“No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.” – Roger Waters

  3. that’s a good idea to make more money and a satisfying career!
I pave driveways and will probably not live past 32 or so. the sun is bad for you.
so is the 18 pack of Naragansett and the Camel 100s every day and the meth on the weekend probably.
well good luck in your student life! them colleges have tons of chicks, man. I think ACC might be full of Vermontabees (Glens Falls chicks who try to be all hippy and lesbian-du-jour) but if you can deal with the smell of patchouley, yesterday’s grime & Magic Hat#9 then you’re probably good to go!
Some of them chicks clean up ok.
San Diego rules! Go to the US Naval base! Tell them “I’m looking for nuclear wessles” like Chekov! lol

I see a 4.0 GPA for Kev in the future! And granola chicks! w00t!
