Report: The Clash to release Shea Stadium 1982 live concert to CD…

The famous concert by the Clash at Shea Stadium in NYC on Oct. 13, 1982 will be getting released to CD this year. The CD will hit stores this coming Oct. 7th. The concert that night was while the band was in a middle of a tour in support of “Combat Rock” released that year. The band opened for the Who that night for their farewell concert.

Pretty sweet news. I’m a huge fan of the Clash, and I’m definitely gonna get this.

  1. i was there – at the age of 13 years 11 mos on the field in left center, after sneaking down from the Mezzine, hooping over the railing to the loge, onto the field seats, and then waiting with the crouwd to storm over the dugout .. with 2 cops standing there trying to prevent 150 fans storming the rope that sepoarate the field to play and drink smoke and dance – uo close -s teven passed out steve martin!!! steve martin passed out the show and charlie b saved him !
