Country music star and legend, Merle Haggard is successfully recovering from lung cancer after having a malignant tumor removed from his lung.

As a Old New Yorker that has spent the last 28 years in Los Angeles The HAG was one of my heros and I got to see him at the Lone Star Cafe in N.Y.C. in 1978 with the Strangers . A cool guy with a great respect for Lefty , Bob Wills , Jimmy Rogers . As a N.Y. grease ball people would never get the connection between Merls music and a Doo Wop guy like me . I like the You Tube of Merl & Marty Robbins . I hope Merl has an easy time of things GOD BLESS HIM . I have C.O.P.D. at 51 and asthma as a kid . Your a special guy Hag .
