Whether McCain and Obama get along with each other now or not, McCain is still telling it like it is. Obama maybe getting right to work and getting things done right away, but the McCain camp has some harsh words to say about him. The McCain camp disagrees with Obama’s stimulus plan, the closing of Guantanamo which McCain says he would not do if he was elected, and many more things.

I don’t think Obama’s stimulus plan is going to work either. Obama would look like a fool of himself if his stimulus plan didn’t solve anything.
Kev
It doesn’t matter what he *would have done* because he is NOT GOING TO BE PRESIDENT. Acting the sore loser isn’t going to change that.

He can say whatever he wants, but the whole, “If you’d elected ME, I would have done THIS,” is just tacky. The man is in his seventies, there is no need to act like a seventh-grader; Obama has already proven to be a vast improvement over the last administration, and whether he is able to keep the promises that he made is debatable. People need to keep their expectations in check, because the previous administration made a huge mess, and it is going to take a good long while to fix it.
Obama is McCain’s President too, and he is yours; you may not be happy about this, but the majority of the country wasn’t happy with George W. Bush at the helm, either. He made decisions that many didn’t agree with, including John Kerry and Al Gore—but you didn’t see either of them running off their mouths about, “If you’d elected ME, this would never have happened. I would have made a different decision and it all would have been fine.” They may have thought it, and hell, I thought it too, but they acted like adults and they acted the way that people who represent our nation should.
Anyway, none of this changes the status quo. I do not agree with everything President Obama says or does, but I also don’t think that McCain would be doing better. We can agree to disagree on this front.
Senator John McCain has done a lot of great things for this country and I have a tremendous amount of respect for him for that, but quotes like this make him appear childish and like a sore loser. As a country, we should be presenting a united front, and John McCain is, in this instance, not doing that. Of course he, like the rest of Americans, shares the right of free speech, but just because you have a right to say something doesn’t mean that it’s proper.

When did I say that I hated McCain? I remember saying that I had tremendous respect for him but that he was acting ridiculous, but maybe words mean different things in Brock-ian.
How am I being a sore loser? I voted for the guy who won!!

Well, obviously McCain can say what he wants. It’s his First Amendment given right. If he were saying, “I do not agree with the closing of Guantanamo at this point in time and here is why,” it would come off a lot less petty than, “If you’d elected ME, I would not have done this.”
I’m not attacking what he said, just the way he chose to present his opinions.
By the way, Kim Manners died. Doesn’t he rate a mention on your Entertainment Blog?

I didn’t realize you were running such a discriminatory entertainment blog. I thought you believed in sharing important entertainment events with the world!
Obama said that Gitmo was to be closed down within the year. If, in that year, he is unable to find new homes for these 245 detainees—and please, this is the AMERICAN GOVERNMENT—I will vote Republican for the rest of my life.
That is a weak excuse.
Anyway, I am done instigating for the night. I have class tomorrow.
