Cool Video: I can’t get enough of Lunic…

The Albany based, rock band, Lunic, is getting popularity fast. They’ve became an established band pretty quickly even if they only been around here for a short time. No offense to all local bands and musicians, but I’m going to say it now that Lunic is the best band to come around here in a long time, ever. Very tight band with amazing songwriting, unique.

Enough of the usual cover bands and boring original bands that writes songs with three chords only, but Lunic is an original band that is neither of those. They write original songs pretty profesionally, more profesional than any band around here.

I need to get out and see these guys live sometime. Here’s their performance at Valentine’s in Albany, N.Y. with some profesional video filming.

I’m also impressed that these guys like to keep their image casual. They’re not like those wannabe rock bands out there that try to look all pretty and stuff.

This is my favorite Albany local band in the history of local music. Lunic reminds me a bit of Radiohead, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and there’s a little Coldplay influence thrown in there too.

Lunic will show how local music is supposed to be done. I have a feeling they won’t be local for long ’cause this band sure is major label material and I think they will get signed. Enjoy the videos, the videos were filmed by Knight Owl Entertainment.

  1. You should start a Lunic fan club, Kev! With your internet presence/popularity, I’m sure you could get them some great exposure.

    1. Yeah, I’m thinking about planning something to help the band out in someway. When I’m a huge fan of a local band or local solo artist, I’m always helping them out with their music. It’s one thing I love to do in local music, helping out bands if I like their music so much.

I have helped: Sauce, Joe Nacco, Tobiaz, CE Skidmore, Katie Haverly, flakjacket, and Maurizio. Those are just several to name that I’ve helped out when I used to play live in the past.

I always felt that if you’re going to be part of your local music scene, you help out other musicians by getting them some shows, promoting their music online for them, etc. It’s good to help out and support others music, and not thinking about your own music all of the time.
