I don’t look up my name in google too much anymore…

The google search engine can be a great and useful tool, when you really need to look up something, but the tool can also be sometimes a little embarrassing and frightening. Why? If you type your name in google, you just never know what may come up. I used to google my name up everyday, but I don’t do that too much anymore. Why would I want to see a bunch of titles in other blogs, forums, and youtube videos in google that are pretty much bashing me as a person. Using my full name and all.

I’m fine with people calling me out and ranting about what I post in my blog, but really, people should leave my name out of it.

Usually, when I rant about people publicly, I leave their name out of things, just so that the post won’t show up in google and I won’t get a legal threat by this person.

Other people think they can use my name whenever they feel like, the same goes for twitter and youtube. Well, it’s not alright to be honest with ya. When they use my name, that’s why I do my very best to report those pages to get them shut down and off the net.

This is another reason why I’m planning to trademark my staged name, Kev Brock, so people would quit using my name.

I’ve been mostly a positive person all year, and prefer to stay that way throughout 2012. If a negative person is what some of you want to be, go for it. If you want to revolve your life on talking trash about the same person for a long time, then you got some serious mental issues. I don’t deal with negative stuff anymore ’cause I got better things to worry about and better things to do.

  1. I am know you probably won’t believe me, but “trademarking” or “copyrighting” your does not legally prevent anyone from using them when writing or speaking.

    1. True that, but it gives me the power to get the postings off the web, as long my name is being used. The site administrator will take action as long as I own the names. I did a little research on trademark names which will be expensive, it’ll cost like 375-400 dollars to trademark something. Plus, I’ll need an attorney along with it which is more expensive so I won’t bother. I’ll do it sometime down the road but not at this time.

I still have plans in copyrighting my next batch of songs though before I release my new music to the web. I’m gonna take copyrighting music more seriously from this point on.
