For the past 4 or 5 weeks now, I’ve been doing everything light lifting with more reps in the gym. It feels great. You can STILL get a great burn and you’ll feel great after too. See? Bodybuilding shouldn’t be about being able to lift as heavy as you possibly can. It’s good to mix it up. I’ll get back into heavy lifting at some point, but I’m going to do less and less heavy lifting. Will focus more on light lifting. People are afraid to lift light ’cause they fear you won’t get muscle mass out of it. Well you can.
Just do 3 sets of 20 reps, with just using 5 or 10 lb dumbbells, tell me how you will feel. I got back into my fitness routines this week and feeling really good.
I keep my nutrition clean most of the week and have 1 or 2 cheat days on the weekends. I keep my nutrition simple, nothing too complicated. I only eat about 4 or 5 small meals a day. I don’t need 6. 6 meals are for the pro bodybuilders. I’m not looking to be like a pro, I just want to get in decent enough shape.
Can’t wait for the warm weather to return and I’ll be able to do outside cardio again. Either jogging or riding the bike. I know I haven’t posted shirtless progress photos in quite a long while, maybe I’ll take a few this weekend.
