Thought: If you think you get lack of support for your music…

…don’t worry about it. I know there’s a lot of struggling musicians out there getting ignored, I’m not the only one. However, no matter what people think of you or your music, you will always get your share of supporters and fans. There will be some people that will actually care for you as a person and there will be people that will actually like your music, even if a lot of other people don’t.

Believe it or not, but I do have my own supporters & fans as well. I get people that support my music. That is one reason why I continue to do this and one reason why I’m planning to get my music going again. Doing it for my supporters who have stayed loyal to me after all this time.

No matter how many haters & doubters, you get, you will always get loyal supporters that will stick with you, no matter what happens. You will get people who believes in you.

So stop complaining about being a “struggling” musician (I need to do the same) ’cause you never know how many people actually likes you out there. You need stay positive and be appreciative for what you have.

It’s awesome I still have some fans though, I thank them for that. As long as you still have the support of those people, you shouldn’t worry about what other people think of you. Just continue to make the music for the fans that you still have.

  1. Kev,

It seems to have been the same way with my music over the years. Not a lot of people are into it, but those who like it REALLY like it. I’m not sure what it is about my music that is so divisive (probably my voice), but I don’t mind being a musician who has that effect on people. I would prefer 10 people who are rabid fans of my music than 100 casual listeners.

    1. Yep, great post. I agree with you. I have about 10 or maybe a little more rabid fans myself, and I’m happy with that. It’s better having a few people who really enjoy your music, than having no fans at all. I don’t care to have a large fanbase. It would be cool to have a large following, but if I don’t, I’m all cool with just a small audience.

      Kev
