I think I’m going to give that song another re-do, this week. See if I can make the drums & guitar sound a little better. I agree that some drum parts sound a little off, and I want to make the vocals sound better too.
I think the other song I posted yesterday, “A Secret Hidden” is fine the way it is.
It’s just that “Miracle” song, I’m going to change around a bit. You can clearly tell, I’ve been trying to improve my timing and rhythm. Since I took my time with “Secret Hidden” and made it a good one. I’ll do the same with “Miracle”.
I’ll start re-working, “Miracle”, tomorrow ’cause tonight I’m watching “Wrestlemania”.
Kev
Kev,
I did finally listen to the new version of the song. You are right: while the drums sound CLOSER to perfection, they are still off…but just by a fraction.
By the way, my drummer Brett finally put ALL the versions of the demos up that have guitar, drums, and vocals. To be honest there are maybe five or six spots where the vocals need to be redone, but in the meantime you should check them out.

Thanks, there was a guy in my facebook fan page, who told me that I needed to try the drums again and said they were out of time. He was right after all, after listening to it. So my apologies to him.
Keep in mind, that this full band stuff is new to me. I never really done it before, so this is a learning experience for me, and I do appreciate other musicians help. This is why if I want to have full band music, I NEED TO LEARN TIMING with music. That’s why I put these songs out publicly to get feedback from actual musicians. I can’t tell if I did it right or not. I like learning this stuff, and it’s good practice to improve as a musician.
I’m trying to figure out the timing of “Miracle” with the metronome by writing it all down on paper. I’m figuring it out and taking my time.
Kev
Kev,
I remember you telling me about that, but that guy expressed it in a kind of jerky way. The drums sound like they are off by just a fraction of a second. You have the timinig right. Now you just need to start the recording at the right moment.
Enjoy Wrestlemania, and I am looking forward to the questions you send to me.
Steve
yeah, I agree, that he was kind of, out of line, a bit. I believe he tried to trick me, to do all that work over again, trying to get me thinking the song is not yet all the way correct. I gotta be more careful who I trust from feedback from other musicians. I would rather accept feedback from musicians I know, such as yourself and Rob.
Wrestlemania was pretty good. Not the best, but I’m about to write a review of WM-28 right now.
