Since Mars Rover Curiosity successfully landed without harm, it’s been investigating it’s planet surface by taking actual photos of planet Mars. Mars looks pretty cool. It’s nothing but land covered with stones, and there are mountains as well. Looks like a planet surface that you see from the original Star Trek series.
See the photos, here.
I used to say it would be impossible for a human to step on Mars, but it could be possible since Mars Rover Curiosity successfully landed. While it may not be safe for a human being to step on Mars, all it would take is careful investigation. NASA is taking small baby steps, and Mars Rover Curiosity is only the beginning. It’s going to be a long and difficult investigation to figure out how a human is going to survive on Mars. Hell, the planet may not even be that dangerous at all and may be okay for a human to step on Mars with no problem, but it’s pretty unlikely.
You can’t just step on Mars in a regular astronaut suit (or without one) or you could die in a second.
I’m sure a human being will step on Mars someday, it just won’t happen right away. It would be a history making moment if it ever happens though
Kev
This isn’t the first rover to land there.
I know that. I didn’t say that at all here, didn’t I? No.
Kev
You made it sound like it was the first time you ever saw photos of Mars. Also, they wouldn’t really need any major mods on a regular astronaut suit. It isn’t like there’s some huge pressure difference on Mars or anything.
I’ve seen plenty of photos of Mars, through the internet, magazines and books. They’re all over the place. It’s just that those photos of the Mars Rover Curiosity were different. It was a better look at Mars than all the other ones. M.R. Curiosity was a different rover than the ones from the past.
As for someone stepping on Mars, you just never know how safe or dangerous the surface is. From the sounds of things, it might be a cold as hell planet ’cause there has been water and ice spotted on the planet before. So that’s a clue that you can’t just use any astronaut suit to step on the planet.
Don’t come to my site just to argue with me ’cause it seems that’s all you’re here for.
Kev
While you’re right, that I kind of did act like it’s the first time I’ve seen the photos but the reason I think that is because the cameras on the M.R. Curiosity were High Resolution cameras, that hasn’t been done before on the earlier rovers. So I’m okay with acting like this is the first time I’ve seen them. They are better photos than all the other ones I’ve seen. Much clearer and perfect. The cameras on the M.R. Curiosity were special cameras. Don’t be surprised if you see a lot of people acting like it’s the first time they’ve seen Mars photos ’cause I’m sure a lot of people felt the same way I did, when I saw them. So I was okay all along.

Science has been well aware of roughly how cold Mars is for ages- average around -65 F, which isn’t all that extreme.
True that, but if you think about it, there has to be a reason why NASA hasn’t had a human step on Mars yet. If they knew it was safe and all good, they would have done it years ago…they still have lots of investigation to do before doing something risky as that. The air of the surface may not be safe. You may not be able to breathe on the planet, whatever kind of air it has. Mars is not Earth. The cold may not be as extreme on Mars, but there’s also a huge risk of dust storms and stuff like that. The surface may not be safe to walk on even though the recent photos may look like it’s easy. I’m sure NASA will find a way for a human to step on MARS successfully, but they need to make sure if it’s safe to step on the ground of Mars. It may not even be safe entering the planet.
This is not like those science fiction TV shows or movies, where people can enter any planet without any harm. That’s all a crock of shit.
Kev
They haven’t sent anyone to Mars yet because of how long the journey is (almost a year).
With the right spacecraft, I’m sure they’ll be able to travel to Mars with no problem, even earlier. I read somewhere they would need larger probes or rockets to get there quicker. Also, Mars is known to being a volcanic planet too. That’s another clue that it may not be safe. There can be lava flows and it’s been spotted before as well.
