The internet seems to be pretty shocked when it was confirmed that Beyonce lip synched the National Anthem at Barack’s inaugural, the other day. My question is, why are people surprised? She’s going to lip synch the Superbowl performance too. That’s one of the things that frustrates me about today’s music industry. Most of it is fake and manufactured. Like I said about “image” in music, it’s the “image” that makes people rich & famous, not their actual musical talent. Most pop stars today can’t sing in real life. In the studio, it’s either they hire a ghost singer or it’s all auto-tuned recording. This is not just for pop stars. Pretty much all genres of music fake their talents, and that includes rock & metal.
It is nice to see that people are finally starting to get the hint about today’s industry, though. It’s one big fake world.
There are so many local bands and unsigned talent who are so desperate for fame & fortune, my question is, why? I don’t support national music too much anymore. Once in a blue moon, I’ll buy an album under a major label, but that only happens like several times a year. Not too much. I don’t like the way today’s industry is going.

I wouldn’t take her pregnancy or the cold weather as an excuse for her lip syncing. I’m willing to bet, she can’t even sing at all. Like I repeatedly said, these artists get rich and famous ’cause they get signed based on their “image”. If the A&R thinks someone has a good “image” and stage presence that will sell a lot of records and sell concert tickets, that’s the only way to get a record deal these days. You don’t even have to sing or have any real talent in music. If fame is what you want, you can get it with the good “image”. If you don’t have the image, that’s what plastic surgery and make up can do. That’s how fake today’s industry is, get with it.

According to Matthew Knowles it was a fake, but that’s according to him only, though. It is hard to believe whether or not she can sing for real because honestly, almost 90% of today’s talent can’t sing for shit and they all lip sync. That’s a big part of what I hate about today’s industry.

Anyone who thinks Beyonce is not a good singer is a horse’s ass. She is one of the greatest singers in the world. I true pro, which her career proves in spite of the Obama lip synch.
Like you Kev, I’m not surprised by the lip synch and would be if she did it for superbowl too. The industry is fake, but Beyonce really can bring it. Most pop stars can’t.
There’s nothing for me to get over. Better is a subjective term. What is the criteria? You’re a better bodybuilder than me as I have never participated in the activity. I’m a better cyclist than you, as I’ve been doing it for many many years and have even competed on the semi-pro level.
The same goes for smarter. What are we basing it on? Music theory? You would be smarter than me.
Running a bar/restaurant/night club-that one goes to me, as I have many years of experiences
Debating? Political and historical knowledge? The fact that you close threads when you can not keep up is proof that I am most definitely smarter in those areas. And it probes I am the better debater.
Backing up both of those facts is the fact you publicly admitted you needed to bring in others from Facebook to “own this guy”.
I was never trying to prove anything. You are the one with something to prove. Your fragile ego can’t take it when you keep up with the conversation. I think that’s amplified by the fact that it is in your own blog discussion that you so consistently find yourself on the losing end of.
I was only trying to engage in a friendly debate. Post facts, information. Correct misunderstanding.
But then you have to resort to name calling…”idiot”…”piece of shit”. Pretty funny if you ask me, considering how much you hate when people do that to you.
Maybe you should take a long hard look in the mirror before you resort to name calling and petty insults. Make sure you set them off in the right direction. I didn’t post anything disrespectful, yet you have shown a complete lack of respect through the whole process.

I have no problem with you, bro, but you have to admit that you do come across as annoying as hell. I do my very best to look up facts before posting things, and you should give me credit for doing a lot of researching in which I do, but you always pretend to act like I’m wrong on everything. I just write about my thoughts and opinions on things from the resource that I researched from. You’re just pretty argumentative, and at times you do come across as rude and negative. I can go back and point out all those attacks but I don’t feel like going, through all those comments.
And I don’t close comments because I know that you’re telling the truth or “owning”. I close ’em ’cause I no longer felt like debating, they just keep dragging on and on. It was nothing personal. I may have flipped out and called names, yes, that’s because you guys just drive me crazy.

It’s like, you guys never get into any of my fun and positive discussions like movies and music. If I don’t want any drama in my site, maybe it is best that I don’t talk politics at all ’cause it seems that’s the only topic I get people going on is politics. Same thing happens in facebook too. It’ll be nice if you guys would respond to some of my entertainment stuff, but the only time you guys want to reply to something is when I post something politics related. My site IS mostly positive, and I don’t understand why people feel the need to be negative around me all the time but whatever.
