I haven’t watched WWE RAW/Smackdown or any of the ppvs in months. It’s been almost a year now, I believe. There’s a few reasons why I gave up on WWE for good, I think…
1) I think I needed to grow out of it. Wrestling is for kids now and I couldn’t stand watching the shows at the age I’m in.
2) The current direction the WWE is in is not good. Bad writing, storylines and feuds have been too predictable these days.
3) I don’t really care for today’s superstars, the newer wrestlers.
I haven’t watched wrestling in a long time… no lie either. I read the RAW results online sometimes and I see things haven’t changed. The shows have gotten worse so I’m glad I gave it up.
I’ll always love and respect the wrestlers, though, especially the older guys like The Rock, Mick Foley, Stone Cold, Undertaker, HBK, and all the old school legends from the 80’s/90’s. Wrestling is not the same anymore. I really miss the old days ’cause the old days were great. I would think the best days of wrestling would be the 80’s and also the Attitude Era in the 90’s. A lot of people are disgusted with wrestling ’cause most of us want TV14 back. We don’t like this PG crap and I don’t either.
On Monday nights, I’ve been watching stuff on Netflix instead of wrestling. I still respect Vince McMahon and the business… I just wish Vince would give what the fans want ’cause he is pretty much all about himself with the wrestling business. All Vince cares about is ratings and money.
I have been a lifelong wrestling fan… yes, ever since I was a little child. I think it’s time to give it up. I’m thinking about getting rid of all my wrestling t-shirts as well… probably will.
As you can see I’m trying to change as I get older since I’m almost 40. I’ve gotten into poetry, gotten into reading political/history books, gotten into bodybuilding, health, and exercise, etc. Trying to grow out of all the kid stuff and get into being an adult for a change. Starting to change my hobbies and interests. I’ll always be a video gamer, though, that I’ll always do. The new GTA V is awesome so far!
