Inspirational fitness quote…

Whenever I post my fitness progress photos, my physique would often get criticized and those photos would get ignored too. Some claim I don’t have big enough arms or big enough chest pecs or legs or whatever. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion when it comes to my fitness physique. I’m not gonna waste time defending myself on critics. I know I have a lot of work to do. I think I have decent size arms… they’re about 14 to 15 inches now, between there. I think my chest has improved a little. I think I have a good enough physique now.

Anyway, people try to get into fitness/bodybuilding so they can be better than others. I may not look like those dudes you see in the magazines/calenders but that’s okay. I’ve gotten some great gains and I’m pretty lean so I’m good. Bodybuilding/fitness is NOT about being perfect. It’s about being better than who you used to be.

For example, before I started bodybuilding… I admittedly used to be a junk food addict. Used to drink a lot of soda and eat a lot unhealthy things. So I look at myself and say, “Damn, I need to take better care of myself”. So that’s what I did. I changed myself for the better. I still have junk food cravings once in a while (mostly on the weekends) but not as bad in the past.

I wanted to look better being half naked in front of people. I just want the muscular look. To be stronger and get healthier. I just wanted the tough guy look. I think I achieved it even though others don’t think so. I may have been working out for about 4 or 5 years now — I may have little experience than everyone else but I believe I’m at a great start. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in the gym. The first day you walk into the gym even if you’re new to this… you walk in there and start lifting… you’ve already had made a lot of progress. So don’t listen to the haters & doubters that you’ve done nothing.

People just like to criticize you in fitness out of jealousy, I must say. Period.

I don’t want to compete in no silly competition or don’t wanna do any sports… I just do bodybuilding just for the passion of it. It’s my 2nd passion right behind music. Although, I would like to try to get into martial arts or even yoga sometime.

Remember, fitness/bodybuilding is not about wanting to be better than this guy and that guy… it’s about you. Just leave your ego at the door and appreciate what you have now.
