I’ve been messing with Ableton Live and it’s actually a pretty nice DAW. It actually came with the Focusrite audiobox. This is just the Lite version so they don’t really give you much but when you pay for the full standard version (which will cost a couple of hundred) they’ll give you the rest of it. I’ll just use Ableton Live the lite version for now until I find a DAW that I’ll decide on.

I’m real impressed with the sound quality on the Focusrite though. Perfectly clean studio sound, just the way I wanted it.

My studio speaker monitors won’t be available until Feb 20th so I’ll have to wait longer for those. The company ran out of stock for the speakers so I’ll have to wait until they get more.

I really gotta decide on a DAW. I should really go for something affordable. Something not so pricey. Maybe I should go for Acoustic Mixcraft or Reaper. Either one will do.

For now, I’ll just use the free version of Ableton.

Now it’s time to start writing some new songs!
