Yesterday, I spent a while going through my original songs. Trying to see if I still remember the lyrics to all of my songs since I haven’t played a gig in a long while. It appears that I still remember most all of my lyrics to my songs to my surprise.
I’m still on the break and hiatus of performing gigs, I accepted this P4th one since I miss playing shows out there and I want to get out there at least once or a couple of times this summer to play a few shows. I’ve been concentrating on the guitar skills more than the actual songwriting to be honest so I haven’t been really writing many songs, still trying to learn better guitar.
I’m honestly starting to get bored of the acoustic guitar, and I want to soon get into electric playing. Become an electric player in hopes of getting my own band going down the road. I always liked acoustic music, don’t get me wrong. But I had always been into electric rock music my entire life and I was meant to pick up the electric guitar from the very beggining. I really want to write rock songs. I’ve always been writing rock songs that were meant for electric guitar in a full band but I write them on acoustic first to save them for the full band electric down the road.
Me not gigging a whole lot this time around has nothing to do with the negative and childish drama I get from people in the music scene, I really could care less about that anymore as I’ve made a vow to stay out of negative drama completely last year and so far it’s working. If you’re a musician, and if so many people hate you, so fucking what. It’s not the end of the world. You should only concentrate on yourself and the people who support your music, don’t feed the haters.
You know, people out there can call me a negative spiteful troll all they want. They can judge and slander me all they want to. The fact is, people know nothing about me when they think they do. I do what I want to do and say what I want to say, period.
Anyhow, for my P4th gig, I’ll probably will wind up bringing my videocam to tape my performance for youtube, plus to videotape the other bands playing there for a little bit, and maybe interview some people at the club in a videoblog just for a little fun and laughs, I’ll look around for really drunk and wasted people to get them going on the Brock cam, lol.
Looking forward to playing there so those in the area should make plans into coming out. I put a “gig calendar” link in this blog for more information. I’ll be soon making a flyer for this gig once I get full details and information.
