No Led Zeppelin tour, but a tour of the “02” show being screened in theaters around the world, is close enough to a world tour, so you can pretend you’re really watching Led Zeppelin on stage in movie theaters.
Doesn’t look like, Albany will be getting a “Celebration Day” screening though.
I’m sure we’ll be getting a statement from the band later today.

Why would Led Zeppelin name this movie, “Celebration Day” instead of “Live at the 02”? Well they did the same with the Madison Square Garden show, named that movie after one of their songs, “The Song Remains the Same”. I guess, “Celebration Day” is a follow up to “The Song Remains the Same” film. A sequel. Enjoy.
Led Zeppelin just posted this video with the 4 symbols and their song “Celebration Day”, playing over it. It’s not a live recording either. It’s the original version from their album, Led Zep III. No, they DID NOT Play the song at the 02 ’07 concert. It might be confirmation of the “Celebration Day” movie that Cineplex website just posted about. Not sure though.
Anything posted from other websites such as UltimateClassicRock, The Sun, etc. The list goes on. They are most likely to be fake news, as in not true. This is the only reason why all these rumors and speculation started about the 02 ’07 concert being released to DVD/BluRay/CD. You can’t believe everything posted on the internet. The only way to believe any news is real by Led Zeppelin, is when the band themselves announce the news.
Cineplex leaked early that the 02 ’07 show will be released in a film titled, “Celebration Day”, to be in a limited time only theater run. I’m not believing that until the announcement. I’m also not believing the 02 release until tomorrow’s announcement as well. Other news sites try to leak Led Zeppelin news early ’cause they know it’s going to draw people to their websites to get more hits, as a way to get paid more with their advertisements. So that’s why a lot of sites try to make stuff up about Led Zeppelin, as much as they can.
This is why I wouldn’t assume that this will be the 02 show getting released. It can be something way different tomorrow. It could be an album announcement along with a small tour, whatever it is. It’s going to be something special, and it will be fucking, EPIC.
One of the news that is real and official, that Led Zeppelin will be honored at the Kennedy Center, along with Buddy Guy, Dustin Hoffman, David Letterman, and Natalia Makarova. While this is good news for Led Zep and congrats to them, I don’t think this will be the teaser tomorrow. See the news, here.
The fans in facebook and other forums are going nuts over tomorrow’s announcement, most everyone still think it’s the “02” show, probably is, but I’m still betting my money that they will announce something much bigger than that too. Maybe not a full fledged tour, but maybe another one off show? I think it would be kind of cool if they did one last gig at, Madison Square Garden. I would go, if they do.
Tomorrow is gonna be great, and I’m excited too like everyone else. I’ll be on the look out.
Earlier this year, Neil Young and Crazy Horse just released a new studio album called, “Americana”. Which is an album full of the band covering famous traditional folk songs. Well later this year, we will get a much proper Neil Young & Crazy Horse album with an album full of original material. They will release an album called, “Psychedellic Pill”, a two disc album full of new originals. The album will be released Oct. 30th, the day before Halloween.

“Americana” was good, but not his best work ever, I expected better. Hopefully this will be a better album. Sounds like it will be a serious guitar jam album, hence the name, “Psychedellic Pill”. I love Neil and can’t wait for the album. I’ll be getting it for sure.
Some fans want Led Zeppelin to do one last studio album together and some fans don’t. There are even some fans that don’t think a new album will ever happen for them and they aren’t capable of making new music. Believe me, I’m sure they can make one last amazing record together, with no problem at all, if Robert will ever be up for it. If what Dave Grohl said it’s true that they already made a new album together that was unreleased, I’m sure it is a great album. I’m sure they still have it with their songwriting skills. I’m sure Jimmy Page can still write brilliant guitar riffs and come up with blistering guitar solos like he always had. I’m sure Jonesy can still come up with tight bass lines. Sure, Robert may not be able to sing anymore like he did when he was younger, but I’m sure these guys will come up with anything that will fit Robert’s voice, so it can still sound like Led Zeppelin. I’m sure they can still write tight as hell songs together, like they’ve always done.
It may be pretty silly for Led Zep to do one last studio album in today’s current mainstream and yes, they’ll be accused of doing it for the money alone, but a lot of people don’t understand what being a musician or even being in a professional band is like. After years of playing music together, some bands continue on ’cause playing music with the same group of guys, is like an addiction. They can’t get away from it, you know? This is why you see Metallica still playing together. This is why Black Sabbath reunited to make an album and do a small tour. This is why Soundgarden is back. This is why Van Halen got back David Lee Roth to do an album and a full tour. It’s all about the artistic integrity and musical expression. They can’t help it of not being apart. That’s what songwriting does. It’s that powerful of a feeling. You may write songs well with other people but these guys can write better music with the same group of guys they’ve always played with. It’s not about wanting to get back together for the fans, not just that. It’s about the music. They are so used to playing music with the same members. They try other things, but their other projects are not as good and powerful as their original bands.
This is why Jimmy Page is trying his best to get Led Zeppelin back full time. He really tried. He wants to get Led Zeppelin back out there, pretty fuckin’ badly. Jimmy Page hasn’t been in the studio in a long time. The last time he did something was that album he did with Robert in ’98, “Walking Into Clarksdale” (which was a great album by the way, and still sounded like Zeppelin). The last live album he did was with the Black Crowes.
If Jimmy Page came up with a bunch of songs, and if he calls up the rest of the guys to start tracking them in the studio, they can do that. I’m sure Pagey already wrote over a hundred new songs that were meant for Led Zeppelin, anyway. See? That’s what these guys do. Make music and write songs. Robert may say that he’s not interested, but he was referring to performing “live”. He never said anything about singing in the studio. He can still do that and not perform live. If Jimmy Page needs Robert for anything, I’m sure a simple phone call will handle that problem. Jimmy and Robert has been best friends for years, they’ve done plenty of other projects together outside of Led Zep, so I’m sure Robert will be willing to do just about anything with Page.
It’s all about the music and that’s the point I’m trying to make.
The Led Zep countdown continues today in facebook and they posted another teaser video. They posted just the live intro of “Good Times, Bad Times” which pretty much matches the bootleg version in youtube, it’s just that this version has more professional sound quality. Plus, the song is tuned down a half step, so Robert can sing over it.
While this will probably end up being the announcement, they might have more to announce than just a DVD. Hopefully a short tour, and possible new record in the future.
I know how a lot of people like to doubt Led Zeppelin and accuse them of not being capable enough of getting together to play music, but keep in mind, most of us, including me don’t know what being a professional musician is like. These guys are capable of anything, don’t ever doubt ’em. After the 02 show, Led Zep were ready to go on a full tour but Plant wasn’t at first interested. Then they auditioned Myles Kennedy, hoping to continue on, but that never went through. Page, Jonesy and Jason are always down to playing music together, it’s well documented in interviews. It’s all up to Robert Plant if he wants to rejoin them or not. He can have a change of heart and change his mind anytime he wants to. Robert backing down was his decision, but those articles of him not being interested were pretty old. He has been pretty inactive with Plant’s music websites as well, so something must be up with these guys.
Maybe Led Zep will do a small tour to help promote the 02 release, anything is possible.
While Led Zeppelin is continuing their mysterious countdown in facebook, they just started something in youtube. Posting a video of their four symbols and a crowd cheering in the background. That’s by far, the best teaser I’ve ever seen. Most everyone thinks it’s the 02 2007 reunion show getting released, but I really think it’s going to be something totally different and surprising. If it does happen to be something different, that would be pretty funny, after everyone thinking it’s the 02 show. I don’t think Led Zeppelin would tease the 02 show ’cause even they know that everyone would think that’s too predictable. You think they’re stupid?
Looking at the teaser in the video, and since they put John Bonham’s symbol in it, whatever they are planning to release might have something to do with John. Maybe they’re releasing something else, not the 02 but a different concert like Knebworth or something. I don’t know.
Anything is possible with Led Zep. I’m still rooting for that possible unreleased studio album, Dave was talking about. If that’s not it, then I’m cool with anything Led Zep comes up with ’cause I’m a die hard fanatic. Can’t wait for Thursday. I’ll admit that I’m kind of going insane with these teasers myself like everyone else. Led Zep teasing things is nothing new, they like to keep everything mysterious. They also did similar teasers with the “How the West Was Won” and the “Led Zeppelin – DVD” they released back in 2003. They like to keep all of their releases and announcements top secret ’cause they know it would be a media frenzy.

Edit to add: This nameless commenter from the Led Zeppelin facebook page is right on the money. See? I’m not alone that a countdown over a DVD release would be pretty silly, there are some others that think the same way I do, I’ll post the comment here without posting the persons name, the comment here, BINGO: “If all this hype is just for a DVD the good old Led Zep will make a lot of people unhappy. Not that we wouldn’t love a proper DVD from Japan 71, or from the reunion… But to have a massive countdown and mysterious clips and build this huge buzz… and then just put a DVD out? It would not be proportionate to the expectations they create. I expect a BIGGER surprise. New music or a concert.”
I know another Led Zeppelin post, but I have to get this rant off my chest. There are too many people saying that a new album could possibly be the huge announcement for this coming Thursday. A new album is what the most popular choice is for the countdown. When people in facebook or other forums say, “Yes, new album”, other people will laugh at them. Saying a new album will never happen that the announcement is gonna be none other than the “02” DVD/Blu Ray release. To the people who want a new album, others will tell them to relax and chill. I find this all entertaining and hilarious.
A new album can’t be possible for Led Zeppelin? Why? These guys are musicians. They can get together and write some songs anytime they want to. Dave Grohl already said they have been. All they have to do is call each other up and arrange recording time in the studio. It’s that simple. I don’t see how it can’t be possible? Yes, Robert may not have been interested in articles from the past, but those articles were old, maybe he finally changed his mind? Led Zep already has been writing songs over the last 5 years as one of them have been leaked to the internet already, see video below. I believe that’s the song that Dave was talking about in that one article I just posted.
I know the song in the video is pretty legit and it is Led Zeppelin. That is definitely Robert singing, and that is Jimmy’s guitar playing ’cause I know his style.
A lot of people don’t understand that’s what musicians do. Get together to play music. The guys in Led Zeppelin are a family. It’s just doesn’t make any sense to me why an album can’t happen for them. Robert is still singing with his solo career, so I’m pretty sure he’s still capable enough of singing new songs with Led Zep. Yes, Robert and Jason are both on a Fall tour, but if you look at their websites, their Fall tours are very short. No plans after those, as far as I know, so that’s another hint that a Led Zeppelin tour could be in store for us in the future.
Plus, Jimmy Page has been pretty quiet on the internet lately. He hasn’t been updating his website with his “On This Day” stuff lately, so something definitely must be going on. They are gearing up for something huge. People claim these guys don’t have time to write an album and tour, well, I believe people who say that are full of shit. Of course, they can. These guys maybe aging but that’s not stopping them from playing music. They’re still doing stuff for other side projects here and there. So if they’re still doing other projects, I’m sure they can give Led Zeppelin, one last and final run with no problem.
I mean, hell. Just ask the Police. Sting, Andy, and Stu did one last run together and it was pretty successful. The Who is still touring and rocking out. Black Sabbath is coming out with a new album and they just did a few shows. If they can do it, so can Led Zep. We’re getting a classic rock revival here, and I fuckin’ love it!
People say it’s gonna be the 02 release ’cause Peter Mensch (Jimmy’s manager) been hinting about it on twitter, but that still doesn’t mean that’s what the announcement is going to be. They could be doing that to be secretive and keep things unpredictable. Robert could be lying about not being interested in re-joining Led Zeppelin as a way to keep things top secret. Getting together quietly, behind the scenes.
As the lyric from the song “Kashmir”, goes, “They talk of days for which they sit and wait, all will be revealed”. Just wait for Thursday. It’s going to be more than just a damn DVD/Blu Ray release. I’m sure of it. Almost positive. If turns out to be the “02” DVD/Blu Ray after all, I’m all for that too, but that will still be disappointing for a big countdown. It would be pretty silly, dontchathink?
There are many different things on what “5” could be. It could mean that it’s been 5 years since the 02 reunion. People also thought it could be the title of their next album to line up after “Led Zeppelin IV: Zoso”. If you need more clues that a 2013 reunion for album and tour could be a possibility. I did a little research on all 4 members. Jimmy Page and Jonesy both has got nothing going on. I looked at Robert Plant’s website, and he needs to finish the rest of his Fall solo tour, so far there’s no plans after that. I also looked at Jason Bonham’s website and he has a short Fall tour booked with the “Led Zeppelin Experience” tribute band, so far he has no plans after that either. So here’s another hint that these guys could be coming back in 2013, in a big way.
A lot of people would speculate the “5” teaser is just the 02 show reunion getting released, but if you think about it, that won’t be as shocking and surprising if that was it. A teaser is supposed to be huge. Something that is not expecting. Maybe they are teasing a tour with the Foo Fighters, I don’t know but something like that would be a more appropriate huge announcement, than just a boring DVD release. I think it’s either going to be a new album, a tour, or both. Led Zeppelin did a similar count down teaser before the big 02 announcement and Pagey did a countdown thing before he put up his official website too, so I stand corrected.
Led Zeppelin deserves one last amazing album and tour. No matter what it is, it’s going to be huge. Something big than a live DVD release ’cause any band can announce a live DVD ’cause it would be lame to tease something small like that. Think about it, ya know? Do I make a lot of sense? Yeah? Whatever Led Zep are planning, they are going to blow up with a huge announcement that will surprise everyone. I’m still crossing my fingers for a new album. We will know in 5 days, which will be next Thursday. Tomorrow, I think they’ll put up a “4” image in their facebook going along with the count down.
