Happy V-Tines Day…

Hope you all are having a good day.

I know Valentine’s is difficult for singles out there… I hear ya… I am in the same boat. However, ranting about how it sucks to be alone on another V-Tines day is not gonna get you anywhere so instead of me ranting about it, I’ve decided be positive about it.

I’ve learned recently that if you like a girl and have a crush on her… you shouldn’t wait. That’s why a lot of guys fail miserably ’cause they wait too long to hook up with her. I’ve learned that if you like a girl and want a chance with her you act on it right away. It shouldn’t be that hard to get a conversation going with her and then you simply ask her out on a coffee date. Shouldn’t be that hard… I need to take the same advice. If you wait too long to ask her out, she’ll get herself hooked up with another man… women work fast — they don’t stay single for long. That’s why you gotta act right away.

I think I’ve grown enough confidence with women and I’m not shy of them anymore as I used to be. I think I can handle the ladies. She’s gotta be the right match and somebody right. Similar interests and hobbies would be nice. Women are easy to talk to, they’re not that bad.

People can’t see it but I think I know how to make women real happy. I just need to find the right one. She doesn’t have to be hot & beautiful — average looking women would be fine. I’m more worried about her personality than looks, though. People can’t see it but I can be a romantic and sweet guy to the ladies… I just gotta prove everyone wrong. I can do this and will.

I thought about covering a love song for youtube on V-tines but then I decided… nah. I don’t wanna do too many love songs. Of course, when I do get myself a lady… I have a feeling that I’m gonna have to perform a lot of them anyway, ha ha.

Enjoy the day today.

Certain blog commenters needs to get a life…

You guys are just wasting your time trying to write negative things and bullshitting me around. I don’t even read your comments and don’t care what you guys say, if you post things I don’t like, I just ignore ’em and delete ’em. Don’t you guys ever sleep? It seems you hit refresh on my blog 24/7. I know this, don’t lie that you are addicted to my blog even if you don’t like me too much. It seems that you sit there and wait for me to post something ’cause as soon as I post something a certain few of you will respond right away.

I don’t use the internet all-day even if people accuse me of doing so. The blog is slow on a daily basis now ’cause I like to find productive things to do during the day like playing my guitar, working out, doing some reading, watch movies, etc. Some of you should do the same… find productive things to do ’cause I feel sorry for ya. I only post on the blog when it’s worth it.

You guys can’t seem to get the hint that I don’t welcome assholes on here. I don’t care how you feel about how I run my site. I don’t care how you feel about my opinions and thoughts on here. I don’t care how you feel about me and as a human being. I simply don’t give a fuck. Cry me a river if you don’t like my blog posts and my site.

I know I’ll always have haters and trolls — I don’t give a fuck about that either. They’re just not welcome in my internet world and that’s why I’m strict on moderating.

I like to surround myself with good people.

Keep writing your bullshit. You’re just wasting your time and life. Find better things to do. Go outside. Read a book or something and just fuck off. Seriously. The only reason a certain few visit my blog is ’cause they enjoy bullshitting me around and they enjoy that attention. I don’t tolerate that here.

Notice how I only approve comments that are positive… get the hint. Just be happy and joyful. That’s all I ask for. Trolls and hateful people will be banned from posting here. Try to register another screen name all you want to but it’s easy to find out if they’re the same person. Get off my site and find better things to do. Of course, you never will. You have an unhealthy addiction to my site and nobody wants to admit it.

Thinking about covering a love song for Valentine’s Day…

Thinking about covering a love song or two for V’Tines Day on youtube and came up with these choices:

The Righteous Brothers, “Unchained Melody”, Elvis “Love Me Tender”, The Penguins “Earth Angel”, Firehouse “When I Look Into Your Eyes”, and Eric Clapton, “Wonderful Tonight”.

They are all great songs. I might even do all 5 of them, not sure. I’ll think about it. These songs could get the ladies go crazy.

Lead guitar…

As you probably heard on the Ritchie Valens tribute video I overdubbed a few solos for a few songs. They came out okay, I guess. As you can hear, I did a little shredding in the “La Bamba” song. I’m not the best lead guitarist in the world but would like to get there and am working on it and learning. I still got a lot of work to do.

I think I’m going to take a break from learning covers so I can focus on songwriting and improving my lead guitar chops. That’s why I’m trying to learn music theory and stuff so I can get better at guitar solos. In order to master the art of improvising, you need to learn music theory. Music theory not only helps you become a better lead guitarist, it’ll also help you with rhythm guitar and songwriting. I’m not an expert at music theory yet but getting there and getting the hang of it. It’s all easy stuff to learn really, it’s just challenging to memorize it all.

I just wanna become a good well-rounded guitarist. I don’t ever want to be labeled as a virtuoso or anything ’cause I don’t think I’m even that. I just wanna play good guitar like my heroes: Jimmy Page, Joe Satriani, and Jimi Hendrix. I admire a lot of musicians but those three are my favorite. They are the reasons why I do what I do.

Some of you may ask if I’ve been playing guitar this long, how come I don’t have any full band experience? I’ll admit, I have very little full band experience. I’m just not rushing myself. Taking my slow time. I don’t take myself serious. I just like playing guitar and having fun.

I don’t live under the delusion of trying to get loved by everybody which is rare in music. I’m just happy what I do and that’s a good attitude to have.

Check out Musicopoulous…

One of the things I really like about the Ipad is that the gadget can be musician friendly and that’s one of the main reasons why I wanted one to begin with. The Ipad can be a pretty useful tool for musicians. For recording, learning, listening, etc.

I bought a few cool apps by Musicopoulos. I bought his Music Theory app, Ear Training, and Vocal Warm-up. I haven’t bought their Metronome app but will. This is great stuff.

For a long time now, I have been trying to find some instructional material that will help me understand music theory better and most instructional books make music theory seem hard to learn. Finally, I found something that makes it easy for you to learn. This is a great music theory learning app. It’ll teach you lessons and will quiz you.

http://www.musicopoulos.com/

Thanks to this app, I’m starting to having a better understanding of music theory. I really need to master the art of music theory if I want to be an actual musician. I still need to master ear training/improvisation and this will help too.

I used to be against Apple gadgets but the Ipad is very cool. I don’t buy and download too many apps. I only buy the ones that are good and can be useful.

Musicopoulos is recommended for you musicians. Doesn’t matter what level of talent you are. Their instructional material can be useful for musicians of all levels: beginners, intermediates, pros.

Their apps are available for Iphones too, I believe.

I like to use the Ipad for other things too like social networking, watching Netflix, etc. The main reason I got one is to record music with.

Musicopoulos is great stuff. Check ’em out.

Post about “deleted comments” deleted…

I didn’t really need to explain myself about how I do things on here. You guys really need to get over your huge egos. You’re not better or smarter than me at all. I’m not afraid of “Your truth” ’cause that’s all it is, “your truth”. I’m not afraid of being wrong but you guys are afraid of the truth as well when I post about Obama, you just don’t wanna admit so stop being a couple of hypocrites. This is my site, and I’ll run it how I please.

Seriously, quit knocking my Pete Seeger tribute and grow up…

It’s interesting how those on the left don’t get knocked for saying positive things about Pete Seeger. When conservatives/the right say positive things about him and mourn for his death, they get knocked. Yes, I know Pete was a communist but that was in his earlier years through the 30’s – 50’s, he was a communist party member. Yes, Pete was a die-hard leftist but doing a little research conservatives respected him too. Pete played music and was an activist for all political parties… it didn’t matter if it was left or right for him.

Proof that he was respected by conservatives:

Quote from article: “Many of the local fishermen are very conservative,” notes fellow musician and lifelong friend David Amram, “but they love Pete, because he cleaned up the river. He transcended politics, was way more than ‘left’ against ‘right;’ he was on the side of all people.”

He may have had past communism but does that make him a bad guy? No. I think he may have went through communism for a pretty good reason. On top of that, Pete apologized for supporting communism and Stalin before.

I did the tribute to respect his legacy and his music. Nothing wrong with that is there? I thought Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land” was a perfect song for it ’cause Pete and Woody associated with each other in the past so I thought it was a fitting tribute.

Enough of the negativity and bashing. Makes you wonder why I can’t stand a certain few of you ’cause a certain few of you out there are a piece of work and can never get the fuckin’ hint.

It doesn’t matter who is left and right. Anybody can support, love, and respect Pete Seeger. He did what he did for everybody. Cut the childish bullshit.

This is exactly why I won’t do the bar & club scene when it comes to women… this dude is right on the money!!!

Man, I liked this guy’s advice about, “Avoiding Party Girls” when it comes to trying meet women so I decided to share it here. He’s so right that a lot of dating gurus out there like to try to get you to practice picking up women at bars/clubs when in reality, it’s a bad idea. Bars/clubs or even house parties aren’t the best places to pick up women at all. If you pick up a woman at a bar/club, chances are… she’s gonna be really hammered that she won’t know what she’s doing most of the time. It’s pretty likely she’s gonna forget who you are pretty quickly. If you end up taking a girl home to have sex with later that night, you could be into a lot of trouble if you get her pregnant and you could even get STD’s with these party women. These are reasons why I would completely avoid the bar/club or the party scene when picking up women. Guys think it’s cool to pick up party women but in reality, it’s not cool… in my humble opinion. Party women are very dangerous… they could ruin your life so watch out for them.

If you wanna pick up “good women”, I’d suggest places like the gym like I’ve been saying for a while. If you meet women at the gym chances are she’s gonna be very healthy and she won’t be into heavy drinking and stuff so she can stay fit so the gym is probably a cool place to meet women. What are some other places to meet good women? Maybe the library but of course, you may have to talk very quiet. The Church maybe? Meeting women at a church may seem cool but the only problem with that is you may have to wait to sleep with her until after marriage but if that’s what it takes to get a girlfriend, dating a religious woman might be worth it. Other places to meet “good women” are coffee houses like Starbucks ’cause you know women like to get coffee and stuff. There’s no Starbucks in Greenwich yet but there are coffeehouses around here.

Just look around. There are beautiful women everywhere. Meeting beautiful women doesn’t always have to be the bar/club/party scene.

I agree with this guy that party women are awful. People mostly use bars to hook up for sex, anyways. If you’re looking for more than just “sex” and want actual love/romance, the bars/clubs aren’t the way to go. When I go to EBJ shows, I don’t go there to practice meeting women… I go there to enjoy the music of EBJ but women seem to approach me at these shows anyway. I go to bar/clubs sometimes to see local bands, not to pick up chicks.

Party girls are stupid. It makes you wonder why there are so many beautiful women who are single mothers in this day and age.

Video teaser of Ritchie Valens tribute coming today…

After I complete the final touches of the “Ritchie Valens” tribute video today, I’m also planning on making a small teaser video to show you a small preview of each song on it. I think a teaser video is a good idea so it’ll help get people excited about it and to help create a buzz about the tribute video. I’m gonna work on that today. I would like this tribute video to be BIG and I’m gonna try to promote it pretty heavily.

Performing these Ritchie Valens songs is inspiring me to cover more oldies songs!!!

I love oldies music in the 50’s. I grew up listening to that stuff as a kid and still do to this day sometimes. After this Ritchie Valens tribute, I would like to do more 50’s rock n’ roll. I would like to do some Chuck Berry, Bill Haley and The Comets, Chubby Checker “The Twist”, early Beatles, I’d like to sing “Earth Angel” and maybe even “Unchained Melody”. I think this style of music fits me best.

I would like to try and write original songs in that style. Bring the 50’s style into my songwriting. As a matter of fact, I’ve already written two originals in that style a little bit. Remember, “Leave This Place” and “Speak A Little Loudly”?? Those two songs were kind of 50’s/60’s like a little bit. I’d like to write more songs like that and am working on it. That’s kind of the direction I wanna head to in my songwriting.

I’m tired of musicians writing music as if they’re trying to show off how great they are and one important thing they’re forgetting is the music. That gets neglected more than anything. That’s what I’m focused on, the music and the art part of it. The songs needs passion and more heart into it and that’s what a lot of songwriters don’t put into. That has always been my only goal. Feeling the music. If you don’t feel it, then other people won’t take you seriously. End of story.
