For the last several years or more, I have been a huge target of haters & doubters on the internet. People would try to do all kinds of shit and do all they can to piss me off. They would try to start anonymous myspace/facebook pages or even twitter pages too just to try to anonymously harass me or even worse, pretend to be me. People would even go as far as making negative youtube videos about me or anonymous blogs.Other people would also even have the guts to NOT be anonymous, and attack me under their real names online in social networking sites. I am aware that I am not going to be liked and am aware that I’m going to be made fun of for your laughs & entertainment by other musicians and regular music fans.

While it is nice that people in my facebook page would point me out to all this and help me on this, I know my supporters have tried to defend me from all the negativity aimed at me, it still kind of bothers me and don’t really enjoy people trying to help me from the haters.

Thing is, I’m trying to live the best life possible. Live a positive life and leave all the negativity behind me. I don’t really need people helping me ’cause I’m adult enough to take care of myself. It’s just as simple as that. Why don’t I like people helping me? Well for one, it brings back the past, and I’m trying to leave the past behind me but of course, the past always have a way of coming back to you, no matter what happens. When people point me out that someone is bashing me online, I just kindly tell them, just let it go and I’ll ignore it.

No matter what people do to try and upset me, I’m never going to be hurt and upset. I’m a strong and tough SOB. I don’t let anything or anyone get me down. So I’m all good and cool. I am a pretty happy guy and will stay that way. Like I said, I’ve been dealing with all this hate & negativity for the past 7-10 years, so I’m pretty used to it by now. You just got to learn to ignore it and be strong.

The thing is, though, I must say that if this is kind of world we live in with all this drama and stuff, that is kind of sad. Coming from people who are adults, ya know? Some of you would know that I’m more adult acting than anybody out there. I think people hating on other people online is kind of good actually, because you know what that’s doing? All that doing is exposing themselves that they really are assholes. It’s how they are in the real world and off the computer. It does nothing but proves my point that some people can be douchebags.

When you want to be a musician or a blogger, put yourself out there for the whole world to see, you’ll have to understand you’ll get a mix of love and hate. I do have people online that are actually supportive of me and they do care, so I’m appreciative of that. I just want to focus on the positive and not the negative. If other people can’t be positive in return, then they must have some serious issues and obsession problems, if they continue this hate they can’t stop doing. I’m a nice guy, and can be a good person, if other people still can’t see that, I’m alright with that, ’cause like I said before, I can’t please everyone. Living a positive life is all I care about now.

I was working with Garage Band on the Ipad for a little while earlier today. Testing out my timing and rhythm skills for the click track. I definitely need to work out my rhythm better. If I want to have band backup behind my songs, I really need to get my timing down better. It shouldn’t be that hard to figure out the timing and rhythm of my original songs ’cause I keep my songs pretty simple and basic, anyway. I plan to practice with a metronome or click track more. I need to get better at this.

Garage Band is a nice Ipad app, but I think I’m just gonna use it just to record song ideas down, just to get ’em out of my head. It’s good software to record guitar riff ideas too.

I’m not doing anything. I think going out on St. Patty’s is lame. I’m staying right home to have corned beef and cabbage dinner with the family.

Then later this evening, I’m going to watch some more of “Game of Thrones – Season 1” and watch “Immortals” on DVD.

One thing I’ve been concentrating a lot is studying timing. Learning how to play along with a metronome. Mastering rhythm with whole notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, triplets, etc.

When you play acoustic solo, it is okay to play songs without a metronome, but when you want to play in a band, you need to learn this stuff. This stuff is simple to learn, but the tough part is practicing with the metronome.

I’m getting the hang of this stuff too. I want to get better at timing music.

This is one thing that a lot of musicians fail to learn, especially some bands out there. I’ve seen plenty of bands that don’t play in time at all. If you want to play tight and aggressive in a band, timing is key to a killer performance.

That one year, either 2006 or 2007, my blog was sparking a lot of attention in the music scene. That was back in the days, when I used to feud with other bands/musicians, and feuding with the same person for years that should be nameless. That stuff, was getting mixed reactions. Some found that stuff very entertaining and some didn’t like what I was doing. That was back in the days when I was the “internet bad guy”.

Well, as the years went by, I figure it was time for a change that I was done being the “internet bad guy”. I had to change my blog for the better and more positive, but ever since I changed my blog for the better, it did seem that people lost interest in it. I had to change my blog style to discuss things more positive like movies, music, fitness, etc.

I’m sure some of my longtime readers are still reading to this day, and I’m sure the haters are still reading too. Whether this blog no longer gets any publicity like it did in the past, I still thank you for supporting me and my site.

Thing is, I’m not going back to being the internet badguy. I want my life to be on a positive note. As for the Reader’s Poll thing, it’s just the same stuff every year. Nothing new. I’ll just continue to blog and do my thing.

Even if I still rant about local music, I try to keep them on a positive note and leave names out of stuff. I’m proud of being a blogger, and I do this to express myself. So I’m not really worried about if I don’t win anymore awards out of this. This isn’t really the Oscars.

If you’re stuck in a guitar playing rut, sick of playing the same things all the time, then you need to keep learning things you haven’t learned yet on the guitar. I’m trying to learn as much stuff as possible: Theory, scales, modes, improvisation, timing & rhythm, trying to improve techniques, etc. What I’m trying to do mostly, is improve my lead guitar soloing. I want to have better guitar chops. Not trying to become a “virtuoso” or a “shredder” or anything, just want to play better guitar. Hopefully melt some faces and impress people when I get better.

I feel that I’m an alright guitar player now, but I’ll admit, I still have lots of work to do and lots of learning to do.

I’m just taking my time and not rushing things. A lot of people are in a rush to be a great guitar player, but you don’t want to get too ahead of yourself.

I want to play like my guitar heros: Jimmy Page, Hendrix, Satriani, etc. I want to play like a pro someday. I just want to be a rock guitarist, who plays both rhythm and lead.

Exploring new things will help you become a better musician. I don’t need guitar lessons with a teacher. I’m doing everything self taught. It’s better that way to get your own style of playing.

I don’t mind people debating with me on certain topics in this site. Make it a serious discussion and make something of value. I don’t care if you agree or disagree, but don’t lie about stuff just to try and make yourself look smarter. Some people just like to keep arguing, just to try and piss me off just for their own entertainment and laughter, no matter how much I am right on a discussion. I won’t tolerate that.

Keep your posts civilized with no attacks or insults, I won’t tolerate that either. Yes, I believe in freedom of speech, but that also gives me the right to run this site however I damn well please. Just like how advertisers has the right to no longer work with Rush Limbaugh anymore.

I stand corrected by the things I say here and my posts are serious.

I don’t give a shit if I’m a dislike-able blogger, I’m not here to please everyone, it is bothersome why some haters continue to read my site and only come here just to try and start arguments with me if you disagree with something. Some of you guys need to get a life and find a new hobby. You’re not real musicians if you continue to do the shit that you do.

I think I’m going to the mall tomorrow to check out that movie, “The Artist”. Plus, I want to pick up Game of Thrones – Season 1 on DVD and the new Bruce Springsteen album which both hits stores tomorrow.
