Erykah Badu was fined for $500 and got slapped with 6 months probation for going naked in public in Dallas, Texas for filming a music video for her song, “Window Seat”. Guess, the naked woman in the video really was her after all.
She probably knew she would get in trouble for it, but whatever it takes to give what the video needs, she’s willing to risk the law for it. $500 and 6 month probation would be no big deal for her. I’m sure she’s a rich woman, she would think $500 is cheap and she could get the 6 month probation behind her easily. In reality, she doesn’t care about getting busted for this. I’m sure she’ll do it again, if the video calls for it.
Erykah Badu is a jazz music artist that is in the middle of some controversy here. She released a new video with a new song called, “Window Seat”. Which is about a woman that walks in the streets of a city, then she is murdered at the end of it naked. A lot of people thought the video was actually Erykah Badu herself, but if you not-so intelligent people watch the video closely, the woman stripping as she’s walking is not actually her. It’s actually a stunt double or something. You don’t see the real Erykah until the very end of the video right after the woman is shot.
This is a nice way to get your “music” out there. It may be “dark” and “crazy”, but what ever it takes to get your tunes out, even if it means getting charged by law enforcement, do whatever it takes.
I think there is a political message in the song. I’m not into Erykah Badu’s music that much, but this is a very nice tune. I actually like it. I think she is not guilty of this charge. It’s a cool video, that sends a nice message with a shock at the end of it.
