Just a thought, although we all know that Craig T. Nelson will never reprise his leading character of Steve Freeling in the film, will Craig have a cameo appearance as a different character in the film? It would be cool if he had a small role in the film. I think it would be appropriate. It’ll be a smart move if they want people to get interested in seeing the remake in theater.

MGM is planning a remake for the 1982 horror film “Poltergeist” which was directed by Tobe Hooper and written by Steven Spielberg. The original film starred TV “Coach” sitcom star Craig T. Nelson and starred Heather O’ Rourke as the little Carol Anne. Heather O’ Rourke played the Carol Anne character in the first three Poltergeist films, then she died in 1988 at the age of 12 due to a flu.
MGM has hired Stiles White and Juliet Snowden to write screenplay for the remake, they were the same writers who wrote the film “Boogeyman”. MGM is still trying to find a director for this flick.

Hopefully they find the right actress for Carol Anne. I have mixed feelings on this one too, they’re probably gonna make this one full of CGI effects.
