Not a Cool Video: Neil Patrick Harris brings us “The Smurfs” trailer and looks like a piece of crap…

“The Smurfs” teaser trailer finally hit online, with an introduction by Neil Patrick Harris, who does the voice of the leading, Smurf. When I was a little kid, I was a huge fan of the cartoon series. Watched them pretty obsessively. They really messed it up, the live action, “Smurfs”. Seriously, does it have to be in fucking NYC? Why can’t it stay true to the Hanna-Barbera TV series and the comics? I will still see, “The Smurfs” not in theater though, another wait for DVD rental thing. I smell a failure on this movie, yep, box office flop. If you think your kids would want to see this garbage, I would think your kids would want to see another, “Alvin & The Chipmunks” sequel, than this piece of shit.

Is this going to be a movie full of gay actors??? That’s what a lot of people are going to be thinking right now, I bet. I’ll be honest, that I’m kind of thinking the same thing.

I wonder who they’ll get for Papa Smurf and Gargamel?

Report: The Smurfs coming to the big screen in live action movie…

Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation are bringing the hit cartoon TV series “The Smurfs” to a live action and CGI animated movie at the same time. The TV series was one of the longest running cartoon series in history by the Hannah-Barbera company. Jordan Kerner will be producing the film.

While the film will be live action, my guess on how they’re doing this is that the Smurfs characters will be the only ones animated by CGI effects. Smurfs cartoon characters into our real life world, similar to what the “Garfield” live action movie did.

It’s gonna be interesting to see who they’re gonna get for voiceovers for Papa Smurf, Gargamel, and Smurfette.

I’d say get Jack Black for Gargamel and maybe Robin Williams for Papa Smurf.
