While many are not fans of Eddie Vedder’s longtime band Pearl Jam, I would still strongly suggest you check out his acoustic solo work for his soundtrack to the movie “Into the Wild”. Vedder composed all the music on the soundtrack except for one track Kaki King has a song in the movie too but it’s not included in the soundtrack since “Into the Wild” is strictly Eddie Vedder’s album.

Eddie Vedder’s acoustic work is truly beautiful stuff….really, he does a very good job at it. I really think Vedder should continue the acoustic folk genre whenever he takes a break from Pearl Jam. He should definitely do another acoustic solo CD in the future.

Next time I go to the mall, I also plan on picking up the DVD for “Into the Wild” and Vedder’s soundtrack album to the movie as well. Eddie Vedder’s acoustic music is probably the best acoustic music I’ve heard in years…

I’m actually thinking about learning the chords to these songs so I can cover them myself. I’m just blown away and Vedder’s singing just sends chills down my spine in these songs with the great melody and vocal lines. I’m kind of upset at the Oscars for not nominating Eddie Vedder for Best Soundtrack, he truly deserves an Oscar for this.
