Barack Obama vs. John McCain – Round Two

Just got done watching the debate. Here’s my thoughts.

Now I see why Tom Brokaw was hired as the moderator for this one. Because they knew that Brokaw is going to be strict since Obama/McCain both like to talk a lot. Mostly the whole debate they were talking about how bad the economics is, but they talked a little about other stuff like the War In Iraq and they talked more about Russia’s attacks against Georgia.

What I love about McCain is that whenever he has something on his mind, he’ll say it. And McCain will stop talking whenever he wants to, he doesn’t care if the moderator tells McCain to stop talking, McCain will shut up when he wants to.

Obama wasn’t looking too happy tonight. You can tell by the look on his face while he was watching McCain speak. I think Obama wasn’t happy because Brokaw wouldn’t allow him to respond to McCain after certain topics. Obama was looking frustrated. And when McCain wanted to speak when it wasn’t his turn, Brokaw would let him because he had no power to stop McCain from speaking.

This is what makes McCain so great. It was another good debate tonight.

  1. This debate did nothing to change anyones viewpoint about either candidate. Senator McCain unfortunately needed a clear win on something and it was not there and contrary to his beliefs this town hall format was not his friend he looked almost ready for a wheelchair as he moved around so stiffly it only seemed to exaggerate his elderly status. He also didn’t do himself any favors by telling the African American young man who asked a question that he had probably never heard of Freddie Mac, how insulting! While I understand that he is desperate, it further diminished him as a person of substance by referring to Senator Obama as “that one” as if he did not have a name.

  2. Obama/Mckean
    Current mood: confused
    Category: News and Politics

“Hey Blinky ” (He either needs his contacts checked, or he needs some visine.)

Did you see the debate tonight ? What is up with that ?

Mckean needs to retire ! I was unsure, until I saw it with my own eyes. He did not have a leg to stand on. He did not have answers for the questions, just comparisons to others. Sorry John, you made up my mind pretty quick. Enjoy retirement !

  3. I think that “That One” won this debate (again). If Obama continues on this streak with his cool, calm, intellect persona, he will win this election.

It’s too bad that McCain has nowhere else to go with his campaign but other than a smear rampage against Obama. Maybe he can’t have a challenging, progressive debate.

  4. You said Senator McCain stops when he wants to. I mean if you observed that then you should’ve also observed that Obama did the same. They both threw that one-minute response rule out the window. Anyway though, I do disagree with you on many things but I’ll keep it brief. McCain is the one that seemed uneasy and unhappy tonight not Obama. Obama still maintained the smile, composure and acted in a mature and Presidential manner. McCain throwing these terrible jokes, reffering to Obama as “..that one” like the person above said and STILL saying “he doesn’t understand” when clearly Senator Obama has knowledge on these topics was blasphemous. No CLEAR winner on the debate but I’d lean more towards Senator Obama.

  5. Once again Kev you are so ON POINT in your observations and analysis of the polilitical climate in this country (and all around the world for that matter). Will we see Brock in the near future commenting on politics for Capital News 9? News needs someone who can cut through the B.S. and get to the truth. It needs Kev Brock.

  6. Instead, I would rather be on news Capital News 9 for my plans on taking down Rayford Faulkner and “The Unreal Variety Show”, I plan on writing news Channel 9 to see if they can interview me a news report to promote the petition on there. And other local news too such as News Channel 13 WNYT and the local papers as well.

I know Rayford Faulkner hates getting bad publicity because he was pissed when I did that audioblog on him last year.

Well, he’s going to get more bad publicity. The more he messes with me and other people on his TV show, I will expose what kind of son of a bitch Rayford Faulkner really is.

  8. But as far as the debate laast night goes, I seen that Obama won. I still feel that McCain did better.

  9. I say that Obama would be better president to McCain, but who wins the best candidate for president, I guess it seems that Obama is going to win.
