Why I love profesional wrestling…

Often I get so many people criticizing my love for the profesional wrestling industry. I get it all time. People ask me these questions, “Why do you watch fake fighting?”, “Why do you watch half naked men putting their hands all over theirselves in front of thousands of people? Wrasslin’ is ghey.”, etc. Blah blah blah blah. I get that shit all the time. I’m not allowed to watch wrestling with other people in the family or they’ll either get up and leave the room or tell me to switch the channel.

I’ll explain why I love the wrestling business so much and why I get so addicted to it. Yes, I know it’s fake. I know it’s scripted. I know all about how the wrestling shows work.

The reason I love the wrestling industry so much is that these performers aka the wrestlers are good “storytellers”. I view wrestling as storytelling believe it or not. It’s fiction. Just like a regular drama TV show that you see on NBC or whatever. Wrestling is theatre. Do you go watch theatre plays like go to Broadway shows and stuff? Well, the wrestling industry is very much the same thing. I enjoy the storylines, feuds, and the speeches that wreslters put on out in the ring.

Every single WWE fan knows that wrestling is fake and scripted. We all know that storylines are fiction and we all know that the matches are rehearsed before the shows and winners of the matches are choosen before the actual match. Why do we all watch wrestling even though we know it’s not real?

Just for entertainment and fun. That’s what it’s here for. That’s what WWE is here for to entertain us. We watch it because the characters that WWE creates whether it will be Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior, Stone Cold, the Rock, Mick Foley, Triple H, etc. They all drove us to watch wrestling.

When wrestlers are out in the ring during their matches, they are trained and skilled enough to not hurt each other for real. If you watch their matches real closely and carefully, you can see the wrestlers are being careful so they won’t injur themselves for real.

Do you think it really hurts when wrestlers land on top of an announcer table and crash through it or do you think it really hurts when wrestlers slam a steel chair over their heads? No. Do you think it really hurts when wrestlers use weapons on their opponents during a hardcore match? No. Do you think it hurts when a wrestler lands on top of their opponent on a steel stairs when they are fighting outside of the ring? No. Believe it or not, those steel steps out of the ring and and steel chairs aren’t really made of steel. They are designed to not hurt the wrestlers for real, the same with the announcer tables.

Is all the blood in wrestling you see is real? Some of it is real actually. Some blood in wrestling is fake and some of it is real. Sometimes wrestlers try to sneak a fake blood capsule in their mouth, and sometimes wrestlers would hide a small tiny blade to cut themselves with so they can get real blood without anybody noticing the blade. The blade thing is the truth because if you watch WWE ppv’s, sometimes the wrestlers are caught on camera with a small blade by mistake.

I’ve been huge on profesional wrestling for years. Ever since I was a child. The shows are meant for the whole family. It doesn’t matter how old you are to be a wrestling fan. I’ve seen it all. There is something for everyone in the wrestling industry. There is something for young children, something for the young generation, and even adults enjoy wrestling too.

To those that attack and bash the wrestling industry, why?

Pretty much every child gets into WWE. There is nothing wrong with the wrestling industry. The wrestling industry has always been an easy target and been easily hated by many out there. But you know what? The wrestling industry does not care what people think. They are here to entertain us. It’s just as simple as that.

As long as the wrestling business has the power to stay alive, they’ll be around for a very long time.

You think those wrestlers that go on these WWE shows sucks and are horrible performers? Not a chance. That is only your opinion. There are certain wreslters I don’t like in WWE but I don’t think they suck. I don’t think anybody sucks in WWE. You have to give credit to these wreslters and performers ’cause they worked hard and worked their entire life to make their WWE dreams come true. They didn’t just make WWE overnight, it takes years and years of wrestling experience to get where they are today. All of these WWE wrestlers started off in small Indy wrestling schools, then they make their way up to profesional wrestling TV.

The WWE deserves the respect in this world. Sure, the Chris Benoit double murder suicide controversy happened with WWE, but the WWE had nothing to do with that. That’s was all on Chris Benoit’s responsibility, he took full responsibility in that, not WWE. WWE is an entertainment product putting smiles on our faces with their shows, that’s all they care about. Wrestlers are almost always on the road, barely ever taking time off for theirselves just performing wrestling shows almost all the time. That’s A LOT more hard work than a movie star filming a movie or a rock band doing a tour.

Give wrestling the respect they deserve. Try watching the WWE shows yourself, you may find yourself getting into it and actually find it entertaining. If you still can’t get into WWE by watching it on TV, try seeing a live show next time they come around your hometown. You may find yourself enjoying it and realize that WWE is good at what they do. Entertaining us.
