With “Twilight” hitting theaters next Friday, the film makers are already moving forward to the rest of the sequels that will be adapted from the novels as well. The novels written by Stephenie Meyer, Summit Entertainment has acquired the rights to adapt “New Moon”, “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn” into major motion pictures. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg who wrote the first “Twilight” movie has been signed to write “New Moon” and “Eclipse”. A writer for “Breaking Dawn” has not been found yet.
While Summit Entertainment knows that the first “Twilight” movie will be an audience full of pre-teens and twenty somethings, the film company hopes to attract the series to older audiences too from 30’s – 50’s and up. Basically, their goal is they want these films to be for people of all ages, not just for teens.

I’m glad the sequels to the books are being made into films too. Good to hear. Although, I’m still in the middle reading “Eclipse”, I haven’t gotten around to get back into reading it, I’ve been busy. I’m glad I’m reading the books before the sequels of the films come out though.
I really am looking forward to seeing “Twilight” in theater next weekend and I probably will end up liking it a lot. We get too many fantasy and children stuff for all ages like “Chronicles of Narnia”, “Lord of the Rings”, “Star Wars”, “Harry Potter”, etc. But there’s never anything dark and never has anything to do with the horror genre, Stephenie Meyer finally brought that to us, a horror genre for people of all ages!!! Thank you Stephenie! That is why I love her for this!
