Brock bashes both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart…

I hate discussing this gossip shit on this blog but I gotta get this one off my chest, can’t resist it. With the popularity of Twilight for the past couple of years, of course, this is going to make Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart a real life couple. Personally, I think this whole couple thing with Robert and Kristen, was a publicity stunt, just to help hype up the movie. I’m sure Robert thought it was a real relationship, but Kristen clearly used the guy for her own publicity. This doesn’t make Robert innocent either ’cause he should have known Kristen was going to cheat on him. This is real life, dude. He probably thought his relationship with her would go the same way Edward and Bella did, in the books. Turns out it didn’t go that way he wanted.

I got into Twilight for a little bit, but I don’t like it anymore.

Of course, the media will be all over this for days, trying to get every detail about their personal business. Some will feel sorry for Robert and hate on Kristen, sometimes it’s the other way around with Twilight fans. Like I said before, they both are guilty on this. They shouldn’t have had a relationship to begin with. So they both deserve the media backlash they are getting right now.

This stuff is all over the internet, so I thought I would respond to it just once. Will it affect the upcoming, “Breaking Dawn pt 2”? It probably will a little bit but you know these obsessive Twihards will see it anyway and it will be a huge hit, no matter what. On top of that, Kristen Stewart is not a good looking girl anyway, plus, I’m sure the skank had experiences with cheating plenty of times before. She’s probably gonna cheat on Rupert Sanders too, give it time. She’s no Bella from the books. Don’t be so confused with fiction and reality.

Just thought I would give my thoughts, since some of you may be wondering.

Edit to add: Another thing I wanted to add to this, think how the other cast members and film crew would feel about this stupid love triangle, both the behind the scenes crew from “The Twilight” series and “Snow White and The Huntsmen” might be pretty disgusted by this. So this is pretty unprofessional behavior for both Robert and Kristen. It’s going to affect both film franchises if you think about it.

Not A Cool Video: Good god, “Twilight: Breaking Dawn” looks horrible!!!

Well, it’s official, I now hate the Twilight franchise. I’m not jumping the Twilight hate bandwagon, but the new “Breaking Dawn” trailer hit the web today and it doesn’t look good. I can now understand why a lot of people hate the Twilight franchise.

I used to enjoy the series, but not anymore. I think I’m getting a bit too old to be enjoying stuff like this, anyway.

See the trailer, here.

Thought: More “True Blood” vs. “Twilight” talk, which franchise is better???

A lot of people like to argue that “True Blood” TV series is better than the “Twilight Saga” franchise. People think the writing in “True Blood” is better and the acting is better than the “Twilight” franchise. It should be no secret to you, that I’m no fan of “True Blood” and I find the “Twilight” franchise to be better. A lot of people accuse “Twilight” of being a Jerry Springer like soap opera, when the reality is, “True Blood” is pretty much the same thing. The writing is good in “True Blood”? Are you serious?

I find “True Blood” to be very overrated. The writing for the show is horrible for a lot of reasons. I think “True Blood” makes the vampire genre so embarrassing, it’s not even funny. Why??? Does “True Blood” tell good stories? Every time I try to watch the show, I just don’t get it. “True Blood” is more soft-core porn than actual storytelling. Stephenie Meyer’s got the vampire thing, right, ’cause she wants to show that vampires don’t have to concentrate on sex. I don’t understand why people find, “True Blood” so good when everyone complains about soap operas in the entertainment business. Lot of hypocrisy there.

In “True Blood”, the show wants vampire to feel part of this world, while, in “Twilight” Stephenie wants vampires to stay away from humans and be more mysterious. That’s the way vampires should be done.

I think Lafayette making an AIDS burger scene to be offensive, doesn’t make any sense in so many ways. I can go on for hours on how “True Blood” is such a horrible series for vampires but people in facebook are all over this show, talking about it, saying how great it is. Yes, I believe “True Blood” will get it’s own movie for the big screen, once the show is over and done with on TV, like what happened to “Star Trek” and “Sex and the City”. That will happen down the road, I’m sure. I don’t watch “True Blood” ’cause I find it an embarrassment that they turn it into soft-core porn. It’s just as simple as that.

I know vampires are supposed to be sexual, but it needs to be done the right way. Anne Rice does sex with vampires the right way, “True Blood” just doesn’t cut it. Sorry, “True Blood” fans!

Film Review: “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” ***Major Spoilers***

Starring: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner

Directed by: David Slade

So yesterday, I went to the mall to see the movie, “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” the newest Twilight film. I will be discussing the storyline so there will be major spoilers. So if you haven’t seen the movie yet, do not read any further.

Plot/Synopsis: The story is about an evil redheaded female vampire named, Victoria that wants to kill Bella. Victoria sets up her own army of newborn vampires to help with her mission. As Victoria is on her way to kill Bella, a love triangle is trapped between Bella, Jacob and Edward. Both Edward and Jacob are in love with Bella, but of course, Bella wants to be with Edward more. Throughout the film, we see a bit of hatred between Edward and Jacob. Later in the film, Jacob and Edward threw their hatred aside to get along so they can save Bella’s life from Victoria and the newborns. As Victoria tries to kill Bella, her mission is interupted because the Volturi returned to kill Victoria.

Yes, I know the “Twilight” series has always been a target for it being aimed at tweens and the series being written by a woman named, Stephenie Meyer. It is mostly men out there trashing the series only because it’s aimed at tweens. Yes, I agree that the series is kind of aimed at tweens, I won’t deny that either but after seeing “Eclipse”, what I saw wasn’t a tween movie and I’m going to explain in this review.

In “Twilight: Eclipse” what I saw was a film that was pretty maturing, in the directing and writing part. What I’m saying is, this film is more adult like. The film got a PG-13 rating after all. Why is this? Because the movie wasn’t really aimed at young teenagers. I believe the reason for the PG-13 rating was that there was a lot more violence and more blood than the first two Twilight films. The first two Twilight films were too family friendly, indeed, but this one is more on the darker side. Plus, there were a few love scenes that were almost sexual that couldn’t get a PG rating. Of course, there are plenty of shirtless muscle guys in the film.

Another popular attack of the film are the werewolves. A lot of Twilight haters like to make fun of the CGI werewolves, saying that they look more like dogs instead of the werewolves like you see in movies such as “American Werewolf in London”, “The Wolf Man”, and “The Howling” why, Twilight werewolves don’t look like those. The thing that people make the mistake with werewolves in the film is, they aren’t really werewolves. In the books, Stephenie wrote that they are actually shapeshifters. They are also decadents of actual wolves. This is what Stephenie had to do in order to make the wolves more family friendly for the teens.

As for vampires in Twilight surviving during the day, not being killed by a stake through the heart, and not being afraid of the crucifix…in vampire fiction you can create vampire survival however you want. In vampire fiction, most vampire authors make vampire survival differently. The HBO TV show, “True Blood”, the vampires survive differently too and the same with that new vampire movie, “Daybreakers” with Ethan Hawke. Stephenie had a different vision with her feel of vampires. Every vampire fiction has their own way of killing a vampire, and in “Twilight”, the only way to kill a vampire is dismember their body parts and burn them. And in that movie “Daybreakers”, the only way to kill a vampire in that film is either by sunlight or explosion.

You see, not every movie or book needs to have the same way of vampire survival or death. That’s the freedom of creative writing and freedom of speech in America. Back to “Twilight: Eclipse”, yes, there are also plenty of love scenes and muscle guys for the girl fans. The goal with this film was that they wanted something for everybody in it. The love scenes and the shirtless guys for the girls. The action and the violence for male fans. The film’s directing style greatly improved from the first two films. David Slade is a great director since he did “40 Days of Night”. Maybe that was why this film had a mature feeling. There is also an improvement in the dialogue and the acting as well.

Overall, I thought it was a pretty good “Twilight” movie. The series is improving every film. The reason the film had a mature feeling to it ’cause the film was too dark and violent for tweens to see. When I saw the film in theater, I didn’t see a theater full of young teenage girls surprisingly. Yes, there were some tweens in there, but not as much as there was when I saw the first two films in theater. What I saw was an age range of mostly 20’s – 30’s, both male and female in the theater audience. Summit Entertainment’s goal with Twilight, is that they want these films to be for everybody, not just tweens. That’s why they decided to experiment with a PG-13 rating, to see what kind of age differences they get of an audience in theaters.

The reason I like these series is because I’m a huge fan of vampire fiction. I admit Stephenie’s stories is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, but for some reason she draws me into reading them and seeing the movies. Since most people are into “Harry Potter”, I decided to be into “Twilight” instead.

Score for “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” = *** (3 Stars as in “good)

Cool Video: “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” trailer hits the web…

The Twilight Saga “Eclipse”, the third of the series, teaser trailer has hit the web this morning. They seem to keep getting better as they go along. “Eclipse” looks like a good one to me and looking forward to it. Look like Victoria, the red headed vampire girl, is the main villain in this flick while Edward and Jacob feud against each other over Bella. I will be seeing this.

Thought: How Tim Burton would be a perfect director for “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”…

Why would Tim Burton be a perfect choice of director for “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”? It’s very simple. His dark vision of his other films matches the same style as the Twilight series. Just watch films like “Edward Scissorhands”, “Sweeney Todd”, “Sleepy Hollow”, etc. They all have a similar vision to “Twilight”.

Not only that, Tim Burton also has a very huge dedicated following of young fans from tweens to young adults who follow Tim Burton’s movies. Tim Burton also has many full-grown adult fans as well.

If Tim Burton directs, “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”, he could bring all fans together which will be a film for all ages to enjoy. Imagine Tim Burton giving a cameo for Helena Bonham Carter his wife for “Breaking Dawn”, maybe even give Johnny Depp a small role as well.

I hope Summit Entertainment studios does the right thing and sign Tim Burton to direct the final installment. I’m positive Tim would make a very good Twilight movie and he would probably do the best job at it. It would be a mistake if Summit doesn’t get him.

Film Review: “Twilight Saga: New Moon”

Starring: Robert Pattison, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, Michael Sheen

Directed by: Chris Weitz

Today I just saw the new Twilight movie, “New Moon” this afternoon, here is my review:

Plot/Synopsis: Leaving right off from the first film, Bella celebrates her 18th birthday after recovering from a vampire attack from the last movie. Edward Cullen, announces to Bella that he and his family are leaving Forks, Washington forever to avoid the dangers of getting killed by the evil Victoria and to keep Bella safe.

After Edward leaves Forks, Washington, Bella is alone and spends most of her time with Jacob Black. Jacob reveals that he is in a tribe of werewolves as he is a werewolf himself. He helps Bella repair a busted motorcycle so she can go and find Edward herself. Later, Bella, finds out that Edward is in Italy who is about ready to join an evil vampire clan called the Volturi which is led by Aro (played by Michael Sheen). Victoria and Carlyle who are evil vampires are also in the Volturi. Bella goes to Italy to try and stop him from joining.

My thoughts? This was definitely much better than the first. There is a major improvement. The movie pretty much followed the book, but as usual left out a lot of very important plot points that could have been added in the film.

The last “Twilight” film was too much of a tween romance film since it was made by a female director. With this one being made by a male director this time, Chris Weitz, this movie was definitely more aimed toward the adult male audience than female, in my opinion.

“Twilight: New Moon” was more darker, it stayed away from the romance stories, it only had a little bit. This one was more about survival. With this being a male director, there is an improvement in the writing, acting, directing style, better special effects and more action scenes and more violence.

The soundtrack was even better than the last too. This film didn’t over do the music of bands playing over the movie like the last one did.

I was very impressed with the acting of Michael Sheen as Aro. I know Twilight is never going to be Oscar worthy but if something was to be Oscar worthy, I think Michael Sheen is an Oscar worthy performance for a, Best Supporting Actor award. His acting was really fantastic and he played the best vampire role out of the entire Twilight cast. Knowing that Michael Sheen played a vampire from the “Underworld” series. The Volturi scenes was the best parts of the movie, in my opinion.

Only thing I’m disappointed in, from the book “New Moon”, there was a long part in the novel where Jacob Black’s father, Billy, explains everything in detail to Bella about how he and his tribe turned into werewolves, but that part wasn’t included in the film for whatever reason. The character of Billy Black wasn’t in the film all that much.

Also, in the novel, Bella discovers that Jacob Black is a werewolf on her own, but the movie didn’t have that. Instead, Jacob told her.

In this film, we get less Edward Cullen and more Jacob Black. Taylor Lautner is the leading star in this one, this time. I think Taylor Lautner is going to be a bigger star more than Robert Pattison. People would forget about Robert Pattison very quick ’cause I think Taylor just overshadowed his popularity.

“New Moon” did have a shocking ending and it did get the audience talking, mysteriously as the film got over with. The Twilight movies are improving as each one comes along and I hope they make the next one, “Eclipse”, a great one also where people won’t give the films negative reviews.

Other than that, I absolutely loved, “Twilight Saga: New Moon”. Brilliant flick. Great job, Chris.

Score for “Twilight Saga: New Moon” = **** (4 stars as in “Excellent”)

Thought: How Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” is inspiring for adult men…

Yes, the “Twilight” series were mainly aimed toward the younger audiences, but notice that more and more adult men are starting to read the books, and seeing the movies. I am noticing that most men are slamming these series because of its teen content and soap opera like romance. Not giving anymore detail than that on why they think the series suck so bad. I am also noticing that most of these men haven’t even read the books or seen the movies. I think it’s because they want to fit in with the other haters to bash everything that goes mainstream.

What would make men get interested in reading the books or see the movies in the first place? I think simply because they are curious. They want to get into “Twilight”, to get an idea of why teens love ’em so much. Just like me, they are fans of vampire stories and they want to see Stephenie Meyer’s take on them. I’m pretty sure men get a little embarrassed at first, that they feel like a fool getting into teen “Twilight”, but once they read the books or see the movies, they’ll find them not so bad after all and actually enjoying it.

I have also read plenty of reviews of “Twilight: New Moon”, mostly men slamming the movie and giving the film negative reviews. Most of them say that the new film is a teen’s dream, something that kids would want, but some men still hate it.

You see, fellas, it doesn’t matter if you like or hate the series, either way. As long as Stephenie Meyer got all the men talking about these series, she is successful for that reason.

It might feel a little weird to go in a movie to see a bunch of shirtless muscle men in one movie, but you gotta admit it, that these guys have great bodybuilding physiques. It’s not gonna make you feel gay for getting into “Twilight”. It will make you feel like a “man”.

Stephenie is a great, unique storyteller. She knows how to grab people’s attention, either good or bad. As long as people are talking about these series, Hollywood will bring us more.

Men enjoy soap operas and campy romance, that’s why they enjoy these “Twilight” stories. They simply want to know what it will be like to be in the teen world. Men are also hypocrites when it comes to bashing “Twilight”, because of its teen content and romance.

They really shouldn’t be bashing these series, when most men are into silly comic book superhero flicks that are aimed at kids, a lot of men are into Pixar films that are aimed for children, and a lot of ’em are into Disney flicks as well. So if you’re going to bash “Twilight” you gotta stop and think about some of the other kiddie things that you enjoy. Men are even into Spongebob and Pokemon. Not to mention, Star Wars as well.

“Twilight” is the Star Wars for teens. Give the teens respect for this ’cause they deserve this entertainment. I’m looking forward to seeing “New Moon”, will hopefully see it soon, hopefully this weekend.
